How is Cimberton pronounced?
“Simbert’n” I think, with the stress on the first syllable. (That’s what I did for the stage directions, anyway).

 hilarious. I loved Bramble, shouting his way through the scene. You must have been in danger of constant clipping the way you went about it. Excellently characterized. And I can imagine Tomas stuttering his few comments in between, it will make for a highly comical duo.

I see there is no slot for Bramble in the MW, but I will insert one now. :) PL ok

As for Myrtle, he seems very lovable and a good friend. He shows signs of jealousy already though, so this will get enhanced in the acts to come. A nice development too.

Here I have two small notes to correct though:

> for the voice credit, please always say the full description that you can find in the MW, here: "Myrtle, in love with Lucinda, read by Adam Bielka"

> at 3:50: "though I cannot but remember that I have more than life at stake on your fidelity" – you say "I cannot remember", which is the exact opposite

thank you, Adam, looking forward to the rest

Alright corrections made on Myrtle Act 2

Ha! I definitely had fun trying to go with the fast-talking lawyer ! It used a lot more breath, was hard to keep at reasonable listening pace, definitely wouldn't do for a longer role!

Ironically enough, I'm playing 3 jealous friends in DR at the moment, one in some Spanish play, another in 1920s Tennessee novel, and this. Starting to get used to the tropes! ;

4:20 - Act V Myrtle

I switch between my best attempt at a gruff old man voice for the Sir Geoffry parts and my normal voice for the non-disguised portions.

haha indeed then you must be used to it by now. Talk about type-casting ;) But you have excellently played this role. The tearful, whiny scene was so hilarious. And I absolutely laughed the gruff voice of old Geoffrey. It's great you switched to a deeper voice there.

Acts 2 and 5 are already PL ok.

I have one note for Act 4 though

> at 1:53: "You perhaps, who know not what it is to love," – you omitted "not" which changes the meaning completely

thanks, terrific job ! I'm glad you took the role despite the female name

Ha, apparently his name is "Charles". Heck, even had I read "in love with Lucinda" I might have realized the part was male. Maybe at some point I'll feel like I can do a female voice, but for now I need more voice practice first! This did fine though.

Those pesky nots! So easy to miss, so meaningful! That should correct it for Chuck Myrtle Act IV:

Sadly, Librivox reader Elizabby has just died after a long illness. She participated in many of our dramatic works and other Librivox projects, including one just cataloged earlier this month. And she had a claim here which I must sadly open again for someone else to take on.

We have an "In Memoriam" topic in the forum with more info about her and other passed Librivox readers at viewtopic.php?p=1672560#p1672560

Thanks, Todd

Todd, you may want to change the subject line here from FULL to OPEN when you get the chance. :?

I'm working on Lucinda now. You'll have her shortly.
