COMPLETE Jack and Jill by Louisa May Alcott - rap
Mrs. Minot Chapter 13 is PL OK!
Ya. I'm really missing Beth. I haven't told Jasmin about Beth's passing yet. I want her to finish listening to The Railway Children without getting too sad before I tell her. Beth played her brother in that one and she was brilliant (as always).Twinkle88 wrote: ↑February 7th, 2020, 6:20 pmThank you! Her voice is remarkable, isn't it? And such a lovely person. I'm running her solo, "The Wishing Horse of Oz," right now for my personal audiobook time.

Fancy some fun character recording? Small parts needed in these dramatic novels: Clouds of Witness | Ivanhoe (DR)

Awww, that‘s a sweet way to honor her. She sure was a lovely person and a fantastic voice actor. I have indeed lost a friend.
It was so sad to hear the news. I don't think I even knew she had cancer.
Yes, Beth sure had (has) a beautiful voice! She was an excellent voice actress, coordinating and participating in so many of the dramatic projects. We'll have to dedicate this audiobook to her.

That's a really lovely idea, dedicating this to Beth!

Oh, P.S. - I've had the dickens of a time doing the editing, with a ton of noise in the house making it difficult to hear variations in volume, etc., and distracting me while splicing ends together around coughing fits, so hopefully it's good to go!
P.P.S. - We can all now go put on our pearls and heels and do the housework. This chapter right here is the kind of writing Louisa May Alcott hated - she didn't like doing the lecture-y stuff the publishers demanded.

Rapunzelina,
It is allowable for the narrator to say something like "Dedicated to Beth Thomas" at the beginning of the first chapter?

Personally I feel like we should be able to do that in honor of her. I think we've done this before, but of course, it's up to the MC. I'm all for it though.

The few times it has occurred, it was added after the disclaimer, like so "[...] This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org. Dedicated to Beth Thomas. Jack and Jill by Louisa May Alcott. Chapter 1 [...]"
It can also go at the very end "End of Jack and Jill by Louisa May Alcott. Dedicated to Beth Thomas. "
It can go in the project summary, as well.

Okay, thanks!
I like having it at the end of the last chapter and in the project summary. I'll add it to the script.
