yes, the laptop I'm using to record is tiny and elderly. Audacity is the only program I have installed on it, but I think the updates downloading in the background were enough to cause the skips. I disabled downloads today and didn't seem to have any problems.
yes, now we're good  PL ok. Yes I think it was programs running in the background. Audacity wants all the space for itself

thank you

Todd -- I got a PL Ok on "Mrs. Hartley" on page 10 these comments, right? It's not showing up in the Magic Window.

I could 'ave a go at Section 47 - Constable Jones.

I recall playing Chopsey in a previous LV recording of this play.

Cheers

awww he is quite a nice and affable policeman, isn't he. A bit soft on Katie too, it seems  Nice playing, Algy and totally PL ok. Great to have you on board this group. Another genuine Australian accent then. :9: And I didn't know we had this play already in a previous one-act-collection  well we have to claim choice-of-voice this time then. At least we have a new cast, or a reshuffling of roles at least.

Now only waiting for Tomas and then this play can get assembled.

Collection also contains another play by Louis Esson (Dead Timber.)

With respect to "The Hartleys", would the two links appended below be sufficient proof for LV of Arthur Eckersley's date of demise?

https://search.alexanderstreet.com/tcd2/search?ff%5B0%5D=playwright_facet%3Aeckersley%20arthur%2018931937%2AEckersley%2C%20Arthur%2C%201893-1937%7C926096

https://billiongraves.com/grave/Arthur-Eckersley/5454748

If so, presumably this play is PD in Australia? In which case, I would like to claim the part of Rupert Hartley please.

Regards,
Chris

Chris, that is sufficient proof for me.

I almost assigned you to the Maid, but corrected it at the last moment...

Thanks, Todd

great job, Tomas. I had to laugh when you said "I was dead innocent" yeah, right. You don't sound innocent, but rather shifty. This will be a great scene. Looking forward to hearing it all assembled.

But before we can do that, two small notes:

> for the voice credit, you said "cobbler" instead of "cobber", which at least in Australia is quite a significant difference, maybe you want to correct that. Cobbler is too much of an honest job for Smithy to consider it in any way.

> at 3:36: (p. 24) missed sentence: "I ain't in smoke"

Thanks !
