I think I've missed the boat on this one entirely but if any readers are still needed I am interested. I am Canadian but can do various Scottish and English accents (RP, Cockney, for the most part, but can learn others)

If not please keep me in mind for a future DR! I am a theatre person! lol

Yes, this project is full but there are plenty of open ones! Check the title line for OPEN and then look in the magic window for blue slots!

Pl notes Watson Ch 2:
At about 6mins text has “carried on his business” but audio sounds like “came on”
At about 13 mins line missing for Watson “Your French gold?”
At 16 mins extra word “If it is so long a chain” (if should come out)

There were a couple of missing “said Holmes” type remarks but you said you are aware of those already so I haven’t given notes for them.

Sorry for inexact times, I’m doing this on my phone from hospital as still in post op!

Mr Frank Moulton is Pl OK! Thanks Larry!

Mr John Turner one Pl note:
@5:20 should be “seemed a fine step to him that his son should step into the property”

Mr Joseph Openshaw PL note:

First line says stuttering but text is not clear enough “what does this mean?”

Hello Elizabby,

Sorry to hear that you are back in hospital again - hope it was nothing
too serious!

I shall fix those errors ASAP - as I've already started editing Section 2 - what with it
having all the characters!

Best Wishes!

Andrew :D

That’s fine, if there are any other narration changes you can still make them direct into the final file.

Also Jephro Rucastle is PL OK, thanks Larry!

Here's Holmes for story 3:

(23.43)

EDIT: How are we pronouncing LeStrade? Le-STRAYED or Le-STRAHD ... or some other?

Thanks Peter. I’ve always said “LeStrahd” with a long “ah” in the middle. This is what the current TV show uses so I think most people would be familiar with that.

Sherlock Holmes Story 3 notes:
@2:10 half a line missing “in return for my assistance”
@11:07 wrong word not “dirt” but “dint” of a pince nez

Yeah, I'm going with Beth - 'Le-STRAHD'. (That's wot I said - an' I ain't changin' it, Guvnor!) :wink:

Um - is it my 'story 3' lines that you have corrected? (I must confess
that I am getting a little lost!) :lol:

(I don't know how you keep it all together Elizabby!)

Sorry - Section 2 is taking a little longer than I expected - I just thought that
it may be better to concentrate on compiling what we already have, rather than just knocking out my own lines!
(Don't want to put too much pressure on the star of the show!) :D

Andew: they were my errors that Beth had commented on.

Thanks for catching those Holmes errors, Beth. Edited and reuploaded.

... and thanks for the LeStrade pronunciation.

Thanks Peter, Sherlock Holmes Story 3 is now PL OK!

Andrew, I’ll do yours next, but your files are longer so I did the Sherlock one first.

Watson Story 3 notes:

@1:52 missing phrase “with interest”
@2:58 missing “he said”
@3:08 missing “she cried”
@6:00 text should be read “et cetera, et cetera” it is supposed to imply the standard ending to the advertisement
@7:58 missing “said Holmes”

And just a comment, you are reading progressively faster in each file - this is fine but I’d suggest not going any faster than this, both because it becomes hard to listen to, but also there will likely be more mistakes.

Most of these are missing lines which can simply be inserted during editing so I won’t PL the narration file again separately, as I can check it all when edited together.

So Story 3 is now ready to edit!
