I've got most of my small parts recorded, just need to tidy things up and put them all in their own files now.

I have a concern of sorts with the Stationmaster part in story 9--
this doesn't seem to warrant a separate voice, since it's not actual dialogue. rather, it reads like Mr. Hatherly simply summarizing his earlier conversations/actions, and I don't think it makes sense to have another voice interject.

If the BC still wants it read, I'll leave it to another volunteer to do, if that's alright.

The stationmaster actually appears later in the story though, and has dialogue of his own, which is why I also had him speak his own bits in the earlier related story. Did you read all the way to the end?

If you don’t want to do it, that’s fine, but I think from your comments you’ve missed the most substantial part of the reading!

Irene's maid: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_irenesmaid_01_128kb.mp3 (1:15)
Landlord: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_landlord_02_128kb.mp3 (1:59)
Coroner: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_coroner_04_128kb.mp3 (13:14, lots of empty spaces between lines)
Police constable Cook: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_policeconstablecook_05_128kb.mp3 (1:09)
Door constable: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_doorconstable_06_128kb.mp3 (0:42)
Cab driver: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_cabdriver_08_128kb.mp3 (1:30)
Pageboy: https://librivox.org/uploads/kathrinee/sherlockholmes_pageboy_10_128kb.mp3 (0:22)
Great! Thanks, these are all PL OK, except for Irene's Maid. That part itself is fine, but we also wanted the two crowd lines read by everyone, which are "He's dead!" and "Fire!" If you could add those two lines into the file, that would be great.

(Also just a comment, that 2-3 seconds between lines is plenty. It doesn't need to be a half minute - that just makes the file very large.)

Indeed! Many thanks Rob, he's perfect! I especially liked it when he was "vewy angwy" and his little upper class cough! All PL OK, of course.

Oops! I've just realised that I missed this claim earlier, and Algy actually claimed this part before Larry (silverquill). I didn't realise this earlier but have now corrected the MW.

Thanks Rafe, these are all PL OK! I love the expression you've given poor Lestrade - he gets pretty short shrift from Holmes!

If you'd care to read any other policeman, there's Inspector Jones in Story 2, and a plainclothes policeman in Story 9. There's also a variety of other characters open in Story 7 and Story 9 - you may have one character in each story if you like.

There are also some parts still open in the "Doctor Dolittle" book, which is the dark blue link in my signature file, and in the "DR Short Story collection" which is the light blue link. Hope to see more of your work! :9:

noted! I will add those lines to Irene's maid's file-- should be able to get to it tonight if all goes well....
