only one tiny thing missing:
> at about 0:07: you forgot the “Within” line inside the prelude with the children: “Why children! are you not ashamed? come in there.” Todd wanted this read by the Prologue as well (see MW)
thanks

I am so sorry guys. Things are crazy here. I’m playing a gruff voiced safari guy for ur churches VBS and I had planned recording this part this week, but my voice is going to be shot. Plus I’ve got so much stuff the rest of the summer. I am so sorry. I’m going to have to give up Asotus. When things have calmed down again, I’ll check back to see what else needs to be read for this play, and I’ll be glad to do it then. I’ll also give up the child part for williamwhite, I just don’t have the time to work with him on it.
Thanks guys.

Thank you for letting me know. I'm sure we will have plenty going on when you become available again.
Thanks, Todd

I hope I got them all now!Kitty wrote: ↑June 16th, 2019, 4:05 amthank you, Foon, Philautia is excellently portrayed here The whole is a little bit confusing with so many different characters. I think I will only really understand it when I listen to it all assembledFoon wrote: ↑June 15th, 2019, 7:35 amHere's Philautia:

Act 2 is already PL ok. For the others I found a missing lines though, mainly all the ALL lines.
Todd: maybe we need to point this out in the MW, or I fear I will have to repeat these PL notes many more times.
for Act 4:
> at about 0:01: missing lines: "Nor I, I'll be sworn: the very mention of it sets my lips in a worse heat, than if he had sprinkled them with mercury. Reach me the glass, sirrah."
> at about 4:16: missed All line: "Ay."
> at about 4:21: I think the following should be read by Philautia and it was a error in Gutenberg. Phantaste asks the preceding question and then Philautia answers to explain her adjective: "Marry, that is, when they are not content to be generally noted in court, but will press forth on common stages and brokers' stalls, to the public view of the world."
> at about 4:43: missed All line: "Yes, yes."
> at about 6:57: missed All line: "Excellent, excellent, Amorphus."
for Act 5:
> at about 0:04: All line: "Thanks, good Amorphus."
> at about 1:42: two missing All lines: "We do." and "Yes."
thanks

Only one small question for Act 4:
> at 4:49: “to the public view of the world” – I hear a word inserted here, it might be “good” if I’m not mistaken. Probably optional, only it startled me because it wasn’t in the original, so I was wondering about it
Thanks, Foon

I cut the word out, it doesn't sound entirely natural but it seems to me that if you're not paying special attention to the cut, it doesn't attract notice. If you'd like me to redo the line, that's fine too.

yes sometimes one wonders because we can't remember saying it.
It sounds very ok to me now after the cut, no worries no need to redo anything.
Thanks

OK, so I may have made some sense of this.
In Act 5 there are these "dances" which are also called masque's. But also, most of the characters go "on stage", and they talk about that, and as they exit the play, they sing a song and exit "the stage in paris". So, some of the characters are watching, but also playing a part in it? I'm confused, but trying to figure this out.
Anyway, I do have a question. In act 5, as my role Amorphus exits, he has some lines that the stage directions say he is singing (same with some other roles). Do you want me to sing these? Or should I make a tune of it?

I prefer that you do not sing. Too hard to make sure that tune is PD, hard to ensure that it reflects the time period of the words of the play.
