Edit: wait a second, who is responsible for that DR? The main entry is empty, so...?
The BC is lucasoliveira, I'll update the MW with that information, and your claim as well.

I just wanted to start recording the narrator for "the stolen bacillus", but I'm getting an error message when I click on the link to the google doc. Could somebody help please?
Cheers, Ava.

Thanks TJ! How exciting! I think that’s the last part for that story!

Thank you benderca; the Rat's fine. Only a few minor slip-ups, which don't matter, but could you make one change, please? At 7.30, in the line ‘I suppose you’re going to sit on the snow all night and TALK? Get up at once and hang on to that bell-pull you see there, and ring hard, as hard as you can, while I hammer!’ .... "bell-pull" is actually one compound word, with a slight emphasis on "bell"; it's the device that you pull to make the bell ring. So it's ".... hang onto that bell-pull" .... that you can see there ....

Ha ha ha! I had no idea that "bell-pull" is a thing! See, who says you can't learn anything volunteering at LibriVox? :D

So, I've corrected the "bell-pull" line here:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/windinwillows_rat_grahame.mp3

I'd be happy to correct the minor slip-ups as well, if you'd like to point them out. I've gotten pretty good at editing in.

Hello Availle,

I had a quick look at the link myself - apparently this post has been deleted...

Can't help myself, but just wanted to confirm that this is a problem.

TJ, I really am very happy to use your Rat's file as it stands (that bell-pull is fine), but if you're set on a reading that's absolutely word-perfect, here are the slight deviations from the text that I spotted. Edit them or not, as you choose.

0:50 "He’s so very shy, he’d be sure to be offended. I’ve never even ventured to call on him at his own home myself ..." - missed out "be" from "he'd be sure"; missed "on" from "call on him"

02:05 "If we have to come, we come in couples, at least; then we’re generally all right." - missed "have to" from "If we have to come..."

05:28 "You don’t seem to be having much luck to-day, do you? Let’s have a look at the leg..." - I hear "let's have a look at *that* leg"

07:00 "Now look here, you--you thick-headed beast .." - there's only one "you" in your recording.

07:17 " ...if you want to sleep dry and warm to-night, for it’s our last chance!" - you've recorded "this is our last chance!" instead of "it's our last chance"

09:26 "..oughtn't we to do something" - "...oughtn't we do something"

Peter

Thank you, at least I know I'm not going bonkers.
If somebody could fix the link that would be splendid. I'm still up to recording this, but not without a marked-up script.
Cheers, Ava.

The BC is Lucasoliveira - I’m pretty sure he made the script and is probably the only one with access to it. I can’t open it either.

Edit: I have messaged Lucasoliveira to ask him to restore access to the document.
