LikeManyWaters wrote: September 1st, 2019, 7:37 pmJust an update, I've got all of "An Unexpected Result" edited together. I only need a "friend" to read these lines:
"Mrs. Alston,"
"you ought to forewarn your cousin and tell him of Mr. Munson's fate.”
"Why so?”
...that's it. Just 3 lines. Anyone? :D
I can do it right away since nobody else claimed it :) I hope the friend can be female  stay tuned !

and here is the friend with the helpful advice :) indeed a female voice fits better in context.

Hope it's ok:

I can't remember, but I didn't see that there was a DPL for this project.
Do I need to find a PL?

Also, as always, any suggestions or advice is welcome.

I could help out with the narrator of the stolen bacillus (section 26)

Edit: wait a second, who is responsible for that DR? The main entry is empty, so...?
Cheers, Ava.

The Hedgehog is word-perfect; lovely. Please thank Jasmin for me.

Just Ratty now!

Thanks; there's not really any hurry over the Rat, as I'm going through the compiled file now, adjusting the timing. It'll be easy to drop you into the gaps when I'm done.

I've been out of the loop for a little while, and it is really encouraging to see so much progress.

If I may comment, I am really impressed with 'An Unexpected Result'. A wonderful job of editing. (And I only appreciate
the work entailed having just done my first edit.)

Chuck - totally convincing performance - I envy your empathy for the character.

Availle - lovely accent - really suits the part.

Everyone else -

I think my own performance sounds somewhat dead and stilted by comparison, but I got the impression from the script that Jack Ackland was that kind of
person. (That's my excuse - and I'm sticking to it!)

'The Wind in the Willows'. Hedgehog is absolutely adorable - I can really picture a Beatrix Potter illustration talking with this voice!
(We used to have a family of Hedgehogs that visited our garden for many, many years. There is nothing
cuter than seeing Mummy hog snuffling across your lawn in the twilight, with 3 or 4 Babby hogs trundling along behind her!)

Sadly, those days are gone. Nowadays, seeing a Hedgehog, or a Butterfly, or a Bee, or a Sparrow - is a calender noteworthy event...
I have absolutely nothing in this world but time - so I believe I should invest it wisely...

OK, Story 1, the Dying Detective is in the MW and ready for PL. Someone else will need to listen to it, as I've edited it.

And Todd, I've updated the MW according to the template you've set. I hope I've moved all the files around correctly!

Yes, I think he was. And anyway, I think it made a great contrast to StoryGirl’s Eva. Classic!

The more you edit and listen to yourself, the better you’ll get. I wince listening to some of my early readings, and no doubt I still have plenty of room for improvement. :? Partly why I wanted to do this short story again (and b/c it just screamed DR). I’m perfectly happy at how it turned out.
