TJ, I really am very happy to use your Rat's file as it stands (that bell-pull is fine), but if you're set on a reading that's absolutely word-perfect, here are the slight deviations from the text that I spotted. Edit them or not, as you choose.

0:50 "He’s so very shy, he’d be sure to be offended. I’ve never even ventured to call on him at his own home myself ..." - missed out "be" from "he'd be sure"; missed "on" from "call on him"

02:05 "If we have to come, we come in couples, at least; then we’re generally all right." - missed "have to" from "If we have to come..."

05:28 "You don’t seem to be having much luck to-day, do you? Let’s have a look at the leg..." - I hear "let's have a look at *that* leg"

07:00 "Now look here, you--you thick-headed beast .." - there's only one "you" in your recording.

07:17 " ...if you want to sleep dry and warm to-night, for it’s our last chance!" - you've recorded "this is our last chance!" instead of "it's our last chance"

09:26 "..oughtn't we to do something" - "...oughten't we do something"

Hi Peter! Wow! You have a good ear. I agree that they're fine as is. I went ahead and corrected 3 of them - the ones that were easiest to edit in :

Hi Peter! Very tightly edited, but it makes the story move along nicely! There's only two spots where I really think it needs more space, both for the same reason - just to create a bit of room between sections:

@40:15 when the characters sleep
@50:16 just before "after luncheon"

The only other PL note just for your consideration, is that this file starts with the Cast List, instead of the more usual LV section title and disclaimer, followed by the Cast ist - was this on purpose? It's different to the other sections, but that's not necessarily a problem...

I've moved the cast list as you asked. I had had it at the front end to make it easier to edit, and forgot that it was there.

The cast list correction is fine now, but the inserted spaces have a very loud “hiss” which sounds like it needs noise reduction? Or is there a quieter section you could copy and paste? I usually use the 5 seconds at the end of the file...

Yes, I usually use the last five seconds as a source of silence, too. I can't remember what I used that time. My apologies.

Also, Todd, now that Willows is definitely not going to need story slot 6, do you have a plan for that section?
