I loved to do the 4th act, where most of the time I need to whisper (loud enough so people would hear me )

May I read Simon?
Although Simon is listed as Entering in Act 1, I cannot see any spoken lines for him.

Got the first 3 acts recorded. Was quite a different role for me, especially since I tend to be more tomboyish in real life

I don't know why Steele didn't have you in more of the play - you are quite a character. Offering to poison people for your mistress, chasing Penelope, blackmailing the poor amorous footman. You will steal the scene whenever you show up!Kitty wrote: ↑January 27th, 2019, 11:39 am here is the lovely Lettice. She couldn't be more different from Mrs Cloys

thank you, Campbell. No need to worry, you managed quite well to give Victoria a good character all through the play. The fun in drama is that we can play roles that we are NOT in real life for a changelymiewithpurpose wrote: ↑January 28th, 2019, 6:28 pmGot the first 3 acts recorded. I especially loved this line, where you gave it all your venom: "Oh, I could brain him—how ugly he looks kneeling to her!" All of Victoria's jealousy is breaking out at this point. Well done.
Acts 1, 3, 4 and 5 already PL ok.
I only have one tiny note for Act 2, a mispronunciation that changes the meaning of a sentence:
> at 0:19: “for 'tis not a mien and air that makes that worthy creature” – you say “mine” but it’s “mien” (pronounced like “mean”)
The rest is fine, only replace that one sentence, or part of the sentence
Just one word of caution...I notice that your volume is fluctuating a bit, sometimes your voice sounds farther away and therefore less loud, then it sort of "comes back". I may be wrong, but I suspect in those instances you are turning your head away from the microphone, then the voice is recorded differently. Next time you record, try to pay attention whether you are doing that, it may be the reason for the volume change. Nothing to change here though, it's fine as it is. Just something to be aware of in future.
Thanks for the great performance

that's why I love playing the ladies' maids in these plays. They are quite feisty and it's fun to do them.
thanks for the nice feedback Todd

Made a guess as to why the volume is changing. It could be the thing you mentioned, but knowing myself more I think it is because I put on a different voice for her. Whenever I started to slip more into my normal voice it got louder, and when I got fully into her voice, it was quieter. Did use a bit of normalization which helped.

yes ok, makes sense, yes that could be it as well. Well, now you are aware of it, it's easier to correctlymiewithpurpose wrote: ↑January 29th, 2019, 8:48 am Made a guess as to why the volume is changing.
