Lady Owbridge, act 1:

I didn't know if her name is pronounced Ow-bridge (like "Ow! that hurts!") or Owe-bridge (like "I owe some money") so I did 2 voice credits.

good point, I didn't think about different pronunciations, I guess I would instinctively have said "ow" (it hurts ) Chichester I also would have pronounced like the English town, but people do also in real life pronounce names differently sometimes, so I guess it does not matter very much.TriciaG wrote: ↑August 20th, 2018, 11:36 am Lady Owbridge, act 1:

So textually, all is well and I love the characterization. At one point you really convey the feeling that the elderly lady is a bit deaf on one ear Excellent.
There's only a technical problem:
> for some reason, your file has a variable bitrate and should be switched back to 128 constant
other than that, all perfect. Thanks ! Good start in the play.

Gah! That's what happens when I use Audacity for other purposes that require VBR.

and here is the first part for Sidonia, Duchess of Strood. I love the role so far. She is such a desperate romantic, and your Quex is giving her a hard time in this dialogue we have here, Todd. What an insensitive klutz The poor duchess must secretely have hoped all these years that her ailing husband (40 years her senior must have had some perks ) would pass away before Quex is married, so she would have a chance with him. And now this ! What a disappointment.

I hope you like my interpretation. I am already looking forward to this dialogue assembled. But in my mind, I already heard your tone of voice throughout my recording
Oh by the way, I had a hard time keeping a straight face when I had to mention the name of this champagne bottle "Felix Poubelle" seriously, I don't think that is a real brand. "poubelle" is French for "garbage bin", not the best name to give your champagne if you want it sold.

all right, Alan, your Captain Bastling is PL ok for Act 1. Poor man, at the height of his love, he has to leave with his regiment. I hope he manages to speak a bit more to his beloved when he finally meets her. A bit tongue-tied for his own good.
Well done ! Great start for your role. Thanks
