it's still 48,000 Hz. What exactly did you do to change it ?

What you can is the following:

1. Check under Edit / Preferences / Quality - the Default Sample Rate should be set to 44,100 Hz and press OK

2. When you open your file, check in the bottom left corner, you should see the box "Project Rate (Hz)", which also needs to be set to 44,100. I guess if you change it in your Preference settings then this box should be correct as well for your future recordings.

Could you try once again please ? Miss Huddle and Puzzle are the correct settings, so I don't know why it reverted to the wrong settings in this one.

I have attempted to record my part of the duet following Leanne's recording but unfortunately have found it almost impossible to do. I have uploaded my best effort but I think it is pretty hopeless and will fully understand if it is considered unusable in which case I can only suggest that I give up the role and you get someone else to do it.

Alan, it sounds absolutely wonderful

your darker voice combined with Leanne's soprano makes a wonderful contrast. And you were almost in sync together. Please never doubt your musical qualities again.

To give you a taste of how well you fit together, here a very quick merging of the chorus together. I'm not a specialist sound editor, so I'm sure it could even sound better than this in the right hands, but you must agree that it sounds wonderful.

The only part where you are a tiny bit faster is 0:12-0:15 "my only love", but it still works out great. And in the next two lines you are absolutely in-sync.

Thank you for the kind words. It sounds to me a bit disjointed and out of tune. Perhaps we should check if Chuck thinks it is ok. After all he is the one who has to edit it.

to me it sounded fine, but I may not have your musical ear.

Anyway, I am aware I am not the best editor, so I think Chuck can do it way better.

Leanne, I fixed your sample rate and listened back to the files and there seems to be no distortion this time around. If you wish you can check once more to be sure. But I'll markt them PL ok now

The tune is basically improvised but I hope it is vaguely like the one specified. I hope Chuck does mind my not being precise on the tune. Glad you liked it.

I was trying to coordinate my Chorus part with Leanne, and I found an inconsistency between the text I am reading and her recording:

Phantom, from thy tomb so drear,
At our bidding swift arise;
Let thy vampire-corpse appear

That would work her woe
And shun thee, till the setting ray
Of the moon shall bid thy pow'r decay.

Leanne has an extra "appear, appear" (1:35) between the lines "Of the moon shall bid thy pow'r decay" and

I remember I mentioned the Appear lines but I thought I had it all checked a second time.

I think I only Spot PLed the beginning where there was the errors, but didn't check the end once more. I'm sorry that I wasn't vigilant enough there. I think we can use some previous" appears" though to paste with your chorus. So maybe this is not a big catastophe for once.

Still, my fault for not finding the errors.

It's no problem for me (I just wanted to make sure I have the right text). I'll just turn in my part and you can add/subtract Leanne's "appears". I tried to coordinate my speed with hers. Hope I was successful. My tendency is to go slower with such poetic chants, but Leanne smoothly and powerfully breezes through it... and I was just trying to keep up! (took me a couple of tries)
