Thanks Philip! I like the way you've made them all sound different! Harold and James are PL OK!

Mr Montford has all the correct text - all 3 lines of it - but there's an odd buzzing quality in the recording. Did you process this one differently, or put some kind of effect on it? It just sounds a bit strange, and I was wondering if you still have the raw recording without noise cleaning or anything else?

Beth:

I did actually do something different to Montford--(I used Audacity to raise the pitch of my voice about a half-step. I did keep the raw file, I think, and I'll go back and see what I did. It's the first time I tried that...and if I can figure out what made the extra noise, it'll be the last.

I'll get back on this shortly.

Many thanks,

Philip

Please don't use any voice effects - it sounds weird next to the "normal" unaltered voices. You can have whatever you can do with your own voice, but not electronic effects please!

Here is the "new" Montford:

This one should be ok.

Indeed it is! Many thanks, Montford is now PL OK!

Also, I'm resuming recording on my solo (Wishing Horse) and with a bit of luck, should get the last three chapters up in the next few days!

Thanks Nemo, Phipps is all PL OK! Very butler-y! And well done on the correct number of "my lord"s - there were a lot of them!

Hi, here's my recording of Mabel Chiltern. She seems like quite a lively and dramatic character, so I'm aware I might have made her sound a tad drama-queen-ish and annoying, but in the third act she softens a bit more.

Great! Thanks Leanne, I'll PL these files this week!

(I haven't forgotten Lord Goring, I just need a long block of computer time to PL those files against the text.)
