I found only one All line, "Hooray!" in Act 2 - is that correct?

nicely done, Foon. Especially in the second act you really get into the "gossipy biddy routine" the sentence about the witch riding in the sky really sounded fabulous.

I think I can mark both Acts PL ok. Although I have one optional note for Act 1:

Or maybe even...should we cut out the “another old man” role in the MW altogether ? It doesn’t really matter if this line is read by an old woman or man, I think. Would economize us one voice for a small role. Unless we need to consider that it's only the MEN that had a vote back in those days.

About the act 2 line: sorry, I must've overlooked like that wasn't mine. I can imagine though that it might be odd if it's a woman saying something about her vote, considering that in other places they're talking about "my husband's vote". But obviously it's up to you guys!

yes that is my dilemma too... I let Todd decide. And for the time being we can also wait if we get a male to say the sentence, but if it takes too long, it's a good thing to have your sentence to rely back on.

Anyway...women CAN have the vote AND get their husbands to vote for the person they want them to

ooooh she is such a flirt the poor ballad monger. But in the end at least she shows her heart of gold and saves him.

I must say you are doing a great contrast in how you flirtingly talk to ballad monger and syndic, compared to the commando you're using for Whimp, Blat and Squeak. This woman knows how to get her ways.

Wonderful job, I'm happy that you took this role, Devorah. Both acts PL ok.

Optional note for Act 1: right at the end, you missed the ALL line “Hooray !” on page 173. But one could argue, Mistress Trencher is probably too cool to cheer on the syndic at this point. In Act 2 she does it, and if Todd wants he can also take that line for Act 1. Anyway, we do have a lot of Hoorays to make up a great crowd already. So, up to you if you want to give us another one.

no this is excellent, Roger !!! Just had a listen to the surgeon and he is well portrayed. You managed to convey the hypocrisy in his voice when he talks to the Syndic. Especially since we know his real frame of mind beforehand with the Student. Wonderfully done.

I have however found one small deviation from the text, and I think it would improve if you changed that word:

> at 4:59: (p. 153) "Croesus bids a golden bag against Apollo's voice" - you say "builds" but I think bidding would make more sense here: making a wager on either the syndic or the singer to win Mistress Trencher

I did find the time after all and wow yes, I lost count of how many times you wanted people to "pity the poor" In Act 1 I thought you did one too many, but maybe my cursor slipped once and threw me off-line. In any case, better one too many than not enough. (although a copy/paste job would be easy in this case). I did notice some subtle differences though, you did record them each time anew, right ? It must have been taxing to say the same thing over and over again.

Anyway, great job. I especially like when you are switching from vicious comments about Twist to pathetic "pity the poor" in the same sentence. Shows the hypocrisy very well fo these so-called beggars.

Both Acts PL ok. Although I would say, the beggars need not really be included in the Hurray at the syndic in the end. I'm not sure they have reason to cheer him on. But I let Todd decide that once he is assembling the crowd. We definitely have enough voices for that part now.
