I had a preliminary listen already to Act 1. Great editing job again, Todd. I don't think there are any gaps that need smoothing anymore. And the dialogues sound so great together. Each reader really does a great characterization of their role.ToddHW wrote: ↑October 1st, 2018, 4:54 pm Here is a DRAFT of Act 1.

Missing a voice credit, and I need to smooth out gaps and volumes between characters. But it will end up something like this....
I have a few small notes for your consideration, see what you think. Of course the edits can wait until Larry has handed in his voice credit:
> at 0:27: “Robert Guiscard, Prince of Apulia” – still waiting for Larry’s voice credit
> at 0:37: “Tancred, a Norman knight” – can be cut out, because he doesn’t have a speaking role. Or should he be included anyway ? I don’t think we usually do that, we only include roles with voice credits, if I’m not mistaken
> at 15:39 and 15:43: (p. 10) “Adelgitha, significantly” and “Michael, haughtily”: I think cutting both those stage directions would give more momentum to the rapid exchange in dialogue. Leanne and Tomas managed the moods expressively enough in their voice, so it would work
> at 16:18 and 16:36: “Michael, aside” – this may be picky, but I hear a very short “s” at the end of Michael, which can easily be cut out, it’s quite easy to spot in Audacity if you enlarge the view
> at 21:13: (p. 11) “starting” – maybe this would better be put before the speech “Michael, starting”, of course, Tomas sounds surprised enough, so it could be left out. But after the speech it sounds a bit strange
I will wait for the Guiscard lines though before I listen to the other acts.
