COMPLETE [DR] The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle - tg
Hi Mark, this section appears to start from Chapter 5? If so, the whole of Chapter 4 is missing.axcel wrote: ↑August 4th, 2018, 11:46 pm here is section 2

There is also one line from the start of Chapter 5 missing:
“Polynesia was a West African parrot I had. She isn’t with me any more now,”

@5:04 Text has "Where do you mean?" You've said "What do you mean?" which also makes sense, so this is a BC decision whether to change or not. (Stubbins is pointing at the Pushmi-Pullyu, so either word would work.)
Just two general comments:
- you don't need to give a voice credit at the start of each file. It would be more useful if you say your character and which section you are reading.
- watch your speed on the long paragraphs. When the doctor has a long speech I find you get faster and faster as the speech goes along! It's just a tendency to be aware of - I'm the same myself, so I thought I'd mention it. Nothing you need to change in the files so far - it suits the character's rant about the tigers in zoos!

Hm, you're right. It could work either way. But I do think I'd prefer where.
Could I read the last open parts? I know that Popsipetel 2 and the chief are in the same section, but it looks like they're far enough apart to not be confusing and I can give him a big booming voice.

Thanks so much! Actually, I had originally scripted the Bag-jagderag chief line to be spoken by Popsipetel 2, but on further consideration decided to split them. I'd rather not combine them again now. The Bag-jagderags and Popsipetels are, at this time in the story, warring clans, so a clear separation would be better.
I'm happy to give you the other roles you asked for, and whichever of the two islanders you'd prefer.

That makes perfect sense!mightyfelix wrote: ↑August 16th, 2018, 9:40 am Thanks so much! I'll take all the rest but the chief, then.

Oh, certainly! Thank you!
That was quick. This makes us full!
Once I'm finished editing for Mikado and Amulet, I'll start checking up on some of our older claims.

Also, looking ahead a bit... This January, the next Dolittle book, Doctor Dolittle's Post Office, enters PD in the US. I doubt this DR will be finished by then (though it's possible), but I do plan to do a DR of the next one as well.
Yay! Post Office is one of my favourites!
