COMPLETE[PLAY]Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas - thw
Sonia,
I made the changes about Spettigue's niece at 1:24 and 1:35. And yes, Devorah had the words recorded.
I took out the line at 45:57 intentionally. The byplay is focused on borrowing money from Brassett to pay Brassett, and it does not matter where Brassett is standing. So I did not change anything here.
Slowing getting through Act 2....
Thanks, Todd

Missing Sir Francis line in Act 2:
Thanks, Todd
Separate file please.JACK. I say, dad, you haven't seen Donna Lucia, have you? SIR FRANCIS
(coming down R.C.). No, Jack, I've not.
JACK (aside). That's fortunate.
SIR FRANCIS. I'm waiting for her here.
Thanks, Todd
excellent, Todd, Part 1 is totally PL ok now.
I will make a note to Checker check still at home though.
Also just finished Act 1 and it was really fun listening to it all assembled. What mayhem this must be on stage. Everything sounds super. I would have a few suggestions to edit, but it's also good as it is. So: totally up to you, Todd
> at 8:47: "Jack off stage knock at outer door." - "Jack" may need to be inserted here
> at 16:20: "Sir Francis laughing to Charley: I thought it was the fire brigade." - you may cut out the stage directions maybe, since Larry is already laughing
> at 42:02: "Charley serving mayonnaise. Donna Lucia. Aunt. - louder - Aunt." - I think "louder" can be cut out as well to make it flow better
I'm extremely crestfallen to read how many lines I was missing this time during PL.
But: Now I will go out and have something to eat.

(LORD FANCOURT undoing dress.)
CHARLEY. We were fools to trust him. JACK. The selfish little beast!
Missing Charley line for Act 2:

Thanks, Todd

I did not make the suggested change at 8:47 - I don't think it is Jack knocking and I think it is clear it is Jack speaking when he talks after the off-stage knock. I did make the other two suggested changes.Kitty wrote: ↑August 1st, 2018, 9:19 am excellent, Todd, Part 1 is totally PL ok now.

I can't see any reason for being crestfallen about missing a couple of lines given this mess of a script!
Thanks, Todd
Missing a very much buried line for Spettigue in Act 3:
Thanks, Todd
Separate file, please.SPETTIGUE (during last four bars of music--moves to LORD FANCOURT, C.).
Charming! Charming!
LORD FANCOURT stops playing; twirls round on stool and almost
overbalances. SPETTIGUE saves him from falling. Then LORD FANCOURT sits
staring at ELA on sofa L.) Bring the cigars, Brassett, unless the
ladies--(to DONNA LUCIA) Mrs. Beverley-Smythe, (to LORD FANCOURT) Donna
Lucia, do you object to---

Missing a Fancourt line in Act 3:
Thanks, Todd
Separate file, please.LORD FANCOURT (drawing hand away--slaps SPETTIGUE'S hand with it).
Why--are you going to take lessons?
(SPETTIGUE goes behind settee down L., and talks to DONNA LUCIA and ELA.)
(Aside to JACK.) What's he looking at me like that for, like a boiled
owl?
Thanks, Todd
Tomas has reuploaded a new file a few days ago because I noticed this missing sentence as well. He also pronounced Spettigue differently, now with "-gew". Did you maybe use an earlier downloaded file?ToddHW wrote: ↑August 3rd, 2018, 6:16 pm Missing a Fancourt line in Act 3:Separate file, please.LORD FANCOURT (drawing hand away--slaps SPETTIGUE'S hand with it).

Sonia is correct. I recorded that line and amended my pronunciation of Spettigue for both Acts 2 and 3 last week... with the hope those acts weren't assembled yet. But now it's possible that my old pronunciation was edited into the final acts after all, and Sonia will have to track them down.
