My concern is that it's 9 scenes over 24 pages ith 13 characters, which make it a bit longer than "Box and Cox" which was the longest entry in collection 010. Would that be too long for the collection? (WOuld that be too long for my first BC attempt?)

You should do it! I read through it last night and I think it's hilarious! I love all the puns!

If you do, I'll sign up to play Mizzle. :)

lol! Mizzle is my favorite character too! He’d be so much fun to do! But there are lots of colorful characters here. I think I would choose Miss Brown... 😃

OK, so, I'll guess we'll do it....

- No WP entry. Here one for a later adaption: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Merchant_of_Yonkers
- 14 Roles (8 men and 5 women plus narrator)
- 1835
--Mr. Cotton (an eminent hosier, and old gentleman)
--Bolt (his foreman, quite a gentleman)
--Mizzle (his apprentice, wishing to be a gentleman)
--Mr. Cutaway (an adventurous gentleman)
--Sam Newgate (no gentleman)
--Peter Prig (an ex-foreman, likewise no gentleman)
--Coachman
--Waiter
--Miss Harriet Cotton (an adventurous lady)
--Mrs. Stitchley (an old lady)
--Miss Brown (her bosom friend—a middle-aged lady)

Here's the sweetest little kichenmaid you ever did set eyes on (or in this case ears on):

I'd like to play Bolt, if it's alright. :)

A few small things:

- There are definitely some bit parts in the play that are not listed in the cast of characters, like a boy, a servant... and maybe others? It would be worth checking the play proper, because otherwise when editing time comes, you'll have no actors for these roles.
- There has been some PLing going on in the interim, which the MW should reflect, because otherwise these things will get buried and no one will know what's what. Maybe someone should be appointed as a temporary BC for the time being, so that they can stay on top of these developments? A collection like this deserves to be well-organized and looked after, since there are so many moving parts and co-BCs, and only a handful of people have the ability to actually update things. Just a suggestion, and one no way meant to step on Michele's toes. I just figure it would be a courtesy to her if someone kept things tidy in her absence.

splendid, Jasmin, thank you very much for your contribution. Indeed, you sound very sweet and it's great that we really have a young voice for the little kitchen urchin. :9: I guess from all our staff, you would be the only one I would consider keeping after this theatre disaster (and I'm sure Ernest will agree with me).

Everything totally PL ok and excellently played out. Good job. :D

lol! Jasmin asked me why everyone keeps telling her to be quiet -- she's actually so agreeable! I definitely think you should keep her on -- get her out of the clutches of that meanie Cook! And she's game for the theater - even plays with love and passion! She's a keeper!

This claim has not been assigned yet. Didn't want it to get lost.

in Michele's absence, I will update the MW for now... Tomas is right, we should keep a clean MW. Makes it easier to see what still needs doing.

all right, I think I have everything up to date now. I rearranged the MW so that the PL ok sections are at the bottom, the claimed sections above and the open sections well visible on top of each play section. :)

If anything is still missing, please tell me.
