And here is Polly's chapter 13. I noticed as I was editing that there are a word or two wrong here and there in her long speeches, but hopefully not changing the meaning. I don't know how word-perfect you are going for, so let me know if I need to re-record.

Please note I made a handful of corrections -- the online versions of these things sometimes don't get all the words transcribed correctly.

Original: "asked Tom, soberly, after little pause."
My correction: "asked Tom, soberly, after a little pause."

Original: "she could n't get any further, but covered up her face, and cried as her heart would break."
My correction: "she could n't get any further, but covered up her face, and cried as if her heart would break."

Original: "As he spoke, Tom slowly picked himself and steadying himself by Polly's shoulder, issued commands..."
My correction: "As he spoke, Tom slowly picked himself up and steadying himself by Polly's shoulder, issued commands..."
Thank you for the file! And thanks for showing me all of your corrections; they all look good. :)

No, this project isn't word perfect, only "standard." So the goal is 100% perfect, but it's alright if a line here or there is accidentally misread -- as long as it doesn't change the meaning, like you said. If Angela doesn't think the meaning is changed, then it's fine with me. :)

Polly chapters 12 and 13 are PL OK! Thanks for working on the background noise. I can still hear it in the pauses, but not so much behind the words.

P.S.--I'll get to the narrator chapter four as soon as I can. For some reason, those seem to take longer...

And one more line that should be marked for Tom:

Chapter 13, page 2-- "Poor Fan! Both of us in a scrape at once."

Thanks!

Thanks. Yeah... the coldest days of winter cause more of a "hum" in my house with humidifiers and the fan from the corn stove with which we heat. Even though I'm up in a corner of the house in my closet, the fan sound travels 2 stories up the chimney behind my back! I'll keep an eye on the waveform for noise, though. Sadly when I tried to clean up the noise, I couldn't go too far or it cleaned out my "p's" and added a spinning sound in the "silences". "Polly" turned into "Ollie!"

I forgot to mention, (though doubtless you heard  ) that I included Polly's voice credit in one of my last 2 chapters.

Polly's chapter 14 is ready for PL. Long monologue... :)
I tried a different filter for the hiss this time, hoping to get less distortion. Is this okay?
