Thanks, Linda, this is great!
I impatiently cut this into the chapter 1 file without waiting for you, Beth. It's PL ok and sounds wonderful! Now all we need for chapter 1 is Cyril.

Thanks Devorah, you're a champion!
I'm at work today but tonight my plan is to PM Cyril and finish PLing Rob's Psammead files.

I just assembled the parts we have for chapter 8, and found one missed line from Raj, the bootlace seller:
This is a group/combined line, so we should still have two voices here, without the bootlace seller, if you don't want to ask Raj to add this. Or you may be able to re-script that line for one of the other minor characters who hasn't been claimed yet.'What's she a saying of?'
Oops! Sorry about Ch 7, I didn't notice the Psammead had no actual lines!RobBoard wrote: ↑March 18th, 2018, 8:41 am Remaining Psammead chapters:

In Chapter 8 the first word "But" is missing.
In Chapter 9 the Psammead says "I want to go home" twice, the first time is supposed to be a whine, the second "fiercely". Maybe have a listen and decide which one is the one we already have, and do another one? (If it's easier, stick the "But" for Chapter 8 in this file and we can move it in editing. Or create a separate file for the two missing lines, whichever works!)
All the other chapters were PL OK, thanks so much Rob!

Group line from Ch 8 is reallocated - it's a group line so as long as we have about four voices it doesn't matter too much which ones they are. I find that any more than 4 or 5 voices makes the text too blurred to be well understood.

It was a multi- colored line. But I couldn't clearly make out if my color is in it or not.mightyfelix wrote: ↑March 21st, 2018, 9:54 pm I just assembled the parts we have for chapter 8, and found one missed line from Raj, the bootlace seller:This is a group/combined line, so we should still have two voices here, without the bootlace seller, if you don't want to ask Raj to add this. In any case, if required, I can record and send it again.

Cheers, Raj.

About multi-voice lines, it may be better, if a coordinator gives the base rhythm/tone, so that all can be in sync!!
It may not need to be all that clear, but at the same time, it shouldn't be unclear too.

For long lines, like whole stanzas of poetry, for instance, many coordinators will do this. For shorter things like this, it's not as important, and usually any differences can be smoothed out in editing. Thanks, though, this is a good technique!

In addition to long and short ones individually, many short ones in the same book / drama is another scenario, which may be applicable here.mightyfelix wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2018, 10:28 amFor long lines, like whole stanzas of poetry, for instance, many coordinators will do this. Yay!
I still need to do a combined voice credit for Jasmin, correct?
Here's Enemy Warrior Ch 5:

I did a combined voice credit for my 2 roles here -- I assumed that's what you wanted. If not, I've recorded separate voice credits as well.
The Enemy Warrior is very sinister and PL OK! Thanks for the voice credit!
If Jasmin wants to do a combined voice credit that would be helpful - but if it's too much trouble it can be edited together from the other ones she's already done.
