ah-hahaha...this guy is like a freight-train  The listeners won't know what hit them. I can so picture this hilarious comic effect when he is talking after Chris' doctor, who is drawing out his words.

I also noticed you stressed some words on the end syllable, to make him sound more French ;) Nice touch.

There's only one line missing, right at the beginning:

> at about 0:13: please insert missing line p. 158 (middle): “In order to deduce…

thanks !

Thank you for your comments. The sad thing about his rapid fire delivery is that he has a great line which should be slowed and savored--"It is better to die according to rule than to recover in violation of it." But that is not, evidently in his nature.

I am a bit confused about the missing line. In the file I uploaded it appears at 0:10. I have re-uploaded the file.

Thanks again!

Thanks

No problem. I appreciate your patience with me. (I thought about doing the part as the guy in the old Fed Ex commercial would have (the one that spoke 90 miles a minute)--but that would've not done justice to the text.)

I just encountered trouble with the link to the text :? But I found a new link with the same book, it seems:

Todd, maybe you could change your source in the first post, in case the trouble persists.

edit: ok now it seems to work again, never mind. Probably just a temporary glitch

Here is Monsieur Tomès. These doctors are so much fun  I enjoyed acting out the bloodthirsty leech here

For this role, I pressed my voice as deeply as I could, to sound like an old, fat and overconfident braggart. I think the result is quite good. :) And I tried to make my final line sound as menacing as possible

I can’t imagine you as an old, fat, and overconfident braggart. I’ll have to listen as soon as I get back in town!

Thanks, Todd

that's why it's called acting  In the live stage version I will probably have to push a pillow under my toga.

 are your daughters listening to your recordings ? They may up their demands after this advice.

Nicely played

Just one thing missing: could you please give us the complete voice credit: "Monsieur Josse, goldsmith, read by Craig Franklin". And I see you made him a Spaniard, nice touch. 8-)

thanks !
