Narrator Act 4:

all perfect, no errors, apart from the same note about End of the Forth Act. I can mark this one PL ok otherwise. It's easiest to change the first Act, instead of the three others

Well done, Ava, that surely was a looong recording

One hour and 24 minutes raw recording. I don't remember ANY character I have ever read on here turning out to be that long.

To explain: I record dramatics in one single go, and then separate the acts. Helps me keep in character. :D

Thanks for PLing Kitty, will fix asap.
Cheers, Ava.

hah ! I wouldn't know about "seasoned" (well, maybe Chris is quite salted and peppered enough  )

But I can safely say, after listening to your Lady Orreyed, you have nothing to be self-conscious about. I love the way you portray her. One notices you put some thought into the character beforehand and you consistently stayed in that persona. And it's well fitting. Your languishing, kinda husky voice is really giving me the mental image of a rather jaded ex-chorus-girl, probably smoking her cigarettes in a long holder and having the occasional drink too many with Dodo (when he is not smashing the bottle in front of her  )

Absolutely well acted out throughout. Consider yourself "seasoned" enough to play with the gang from now on  (that was my flippant way of begging you to claim loads of roles in all our other stage plays)

Oh but one thing you need to do before I can mark this file ok is the following:

> at about 0:21: please insert missing sentence: LADY ORREYED. [Taking coffee.] Here's Dodo.

The rest, perfect. Looking forward to the next act already.

Sonia asked for the level-headed voice of reason, and I hope I delivered. :? At any rate, that's one more role done!

 this has been a huge part, especially the first Act. And to answer your question immediately, I think you "delivered" to perfection ! I knew you could pull Cayley ! He is exactly as I pictured him. Serious talk when he needs to, but not a boring depressed guy, he loves to laugh a good deal and is mostly good-humoured. The kind of person you’d be lucky to have as best friend. You were really into the character the entire time, I could feel that. Well done.

Here are my collected reviews about all 4 Acts. :)

Act 1:
PL ok

I loved his entire speech when he is talking about the marriage to the first Mrs Tanqueray. The constant interruptions by sighs and smacks and musings make for an extremely well delivered narration. Top marks for this acting !

And that laugh in “I haven’t been surprised for 20 years” is absolutely gorgeous ! :D

Act 2:
PL ok. I already can feel in your short dialogue with Paula that he is not really sympathizing with her situation. His loyalties definitely lie with Aubrey and to an extent also his daughter. I think a nice sequel would have been if Cayley and Ellean became a match

Act 3:
PL ok. Yes this dialogue with Paula confirms that he definitely doesn’t really see her side of it. But he is still being civil with her, without giving in to her schemes, which again shows his good character.

Act 4:
PL ok. Loved the nice little humming at the beginning. And your final line definitely was a genuinely shocked expression. Totally well done, all of it.

Thanks so much for taking on this role, Tomas. I think you definitely contributed to making Cayley the most liked character in the play. :9:

Thank you for your comments, Sonia. :9: As always they are much appreciated and beneficial.

Listening back to Act 1, I did notice a few spots that I wasn't content with, so I re-recorded the lines and uploaded again. If you could check the time stamps 3:40 and 6:14 and see if they are better? Then I will be truly satisfied with it. :P

Don't wish for this to escape anyone's notice, since we posted at the same time:
