Thank you Sonia for the note you sent me. I hope you got the reply.

Meanwhile, I'll sit out this project and wait for the next. Unless you'd like me to do a roar for the bear! :D

So I recorded Paulina today, a big role. Need to edit the acts still but they are recorded. I made my voice as deep as I could, but still trying to sound female (one would say that shouldn't be too hard for me since I am a woman  ) She sounds like a fierce woman, an angry, fierce woman. Tony, as Leontes, you'll get hell from me, don't expect the soft treatment.

Here's the first file, whoever has time, feel free to PL :)

Paulina Act 3: I loooove this role. She really had to get some things off her chest. The only part I did not understand is why in the end she is apologizing. I didn't feel like apologizing at all. Well, I didn't make her too contrite, my Paulina sounds more like she simply wants to get it over with and get out of the sight of this king. Anything would not fit her character in my opinion.

Oh, I do, too. :) If I were female, I'd be clamoring to play her onstage, LOL. She's, like, the only character in this play who sees through the Hall of Mirrors and gets to the truth of everything.

I'll try to start PLing your parts tonight, by the way. The promise of hearing your Paulina is already too tempting.

I had a go at Time today. I figured, since the swift passing of Time somehow needed to be conveyed, I started out speaking slow-paced and then in the middle I speeded up a bit until the end where I finish off slower again, to show that time is now going at a regular pace again.

Also I fiddled around with the reverb effect. I gave each chunks of the speech some different reverb settings, so that my voice almost seems as if different people were talking. It again should convey that times are different, with ups and downs. If if it too much or if the effect of the excessive reverb is nauseating to listen to, please tell me honestly.

Now only Mopsa missing and then I'm done :) For Mopsa and the song, I wait till you guys are all back in the saddle again. This needs a bit more discussing

all right feedback for the first scene for Leontes. At the beginning I thought, oh he is so mellow and easy-going, maybe I am treating him too unfairly harsh as Paulina. But then, by and by, you quickly drift further and further into this paranoid jealousy abyss and you are acting out this madness quite well  Loved it ! Looking forward to the next scenes.

Just one thing for further recordings, in the heat of the passion you often forget to leave editing space to edit in some narrator part ;) it's ok for these acts, I think we can fiddle with it, but maybe make it easier for us in the next parts you record. Thanks.

Also could you give me the full voice credit please: LEONTES, King of Sicilia, read by Tony Addison. And in case Autolycus needs it too, you can include it in the same file: "AUTOLYCUS, a rogue, read by T.A." (I haven't checked that file yet, if you did it correctly, ignore this comment.) Just make a new file or include them all in your next recording, whatever suits you best.

Leontes 1.2. PL ok

thank you Tony, these work fine. I will put them in the dramatis personae file soon

meanwhile...the descent into madness goes on. Leontes Act 2 (both scenes) PL ok. I wonder what Hermione ever saw in that guy.... he must have other qualities
