Goodness, how can I see this only now!
Could I read Mistress Correction - the madame of a brothel, please?

LEANNE
Thanks for the bump and sorry for the delay.
act 2
This audio file appears to be act 5. It starts the same as act 5 and is the same size. Fingers crossed you didn't save over your recording of act 2!
act 3
3:05
Here you say "yet it beguile with a great many", but upon proof listening against the original script I see it should be "yet it is beggerly with a great many". Sorry, my mistake. Could you correct that, please?
act 4 PL OK
act 5
The second line, at around 10 secs, seems to start "Nay, I would say he did so by me" or something like that, so I think you might be adding a word in here? (should be "Nay, I would he did so by me")
1.05 I hear "Why, “confess and be hanged over” instead of "ever".
1.35 Another transcription error - apologies. You say "Why, look, woman: your love 'e mad woos me", when I now see in the original script it is "as mad woos me". Not really sure if that makes any more sense, but...
1.55 After "Respect her most, that most of all loves you." you miss the next line ("Oh, do not turn away those eyes, whose radiant beams first nursed my flame") before saying "Aye, doest thou hate me, then?"
OWEN
Thanks, Owen. PL OK!

I just wanted to drop by and complain that the book is virtually unreadable... This must be the worst scan I ever read from.
And while I'm at it: Why am I "Master Correction" in act 5 as well? Or will this be clear once I get that far in the book?

Ava, to make it easier for the reader, there is a link to the google coloured doc sheets behind each of your acts ! Check those out in the MW.Availle wrote:I just wanted to drop by and complain that the book is virtually unreadable... This must be the worst scan I ever read from.
hmm let's wait for Rob to confirm, but I would venture that was an error. And while I'm at it: Why am I "Master Correction" in act 5 as well? Or will this be clear once I get that far in the book?

I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April
and unable to PL during that time. Thank you for your patience.

Oh, I didn't even notice those other google docs That will make recording so much easier!
As for Master Correction, it must be a mistake since the master and mistress are talking to each other over breakfast in act 5, which is surely possible if they are the same person, but the news value would go down immediately...

Hi all,
I am sorry, but for some reason I was not receiving email updates from this thread. Not sure why this happens from time to time, as I never choose to turn off notifications. I checked in just to see when the last message was posted and see it was this afternoon!
It is a bit late here now, but I will check back tomorrow and answer your queries.
Thanks for your continued interest in the project.

ps. you may wish to confirm that I have assigned the role to your correct username. There were a couple of Jason B's in the system.

Yes, the original text is pretty tough to read from. My scripts should be identical (but legible), although I hope you will bear with me if any spot-fixes are necessary if we spot any transcription errors when PLing your recordings against the original text.
Assigning you to the role of Master Corr was an error on my part. I have deleted that now.
