Thanks, Nigel. PL OK!

Sonia,

While editing, I thought the same thing about the lines that were allocated to Nan and Nucombe in the script and how they should really be the Knight and the Lady. In a way I am glad that the original printers of the script made at least as many errors as I made in transcribing it...

I have put in your addition (thanks) and yes, it would be good if you asked Jason to read that one missing line: 'Well, since ‘tis thus, henceforth I’ll love thee ever, for “que sera, sera”, ‘gainst what plots so-ever. But who is this, Master Correction?' If you recall, I already had to ask him to correct some lines because I had transcribed Love instead of Jove, so it would be good if you could emphasize that this new fix is due to a 400 year old error!!

I have asked my friend to record the missing part of Nucombe's line, and edited in Nigel's fixes. So once we have the Knight and Nucombe fixes, we'll be done.

Dramatis personae checked and found two errors:

> at 0:46: Master Correction, the pedant - you forgot to include "the pedant", but that may be optional, but since you included all the other descriptions, I thought I'd mention it anyway

> at 1:41: maybe insert Servingman, read by Owen Cook, here, as you seem to have forgotten to include his voice credit

I also received an answer from Jason and he thinks he can get the lines recorded before the end of the week :9:

This is my final missing line. I am on a different setup but hopefully the tone can be matched.

Thanks a lot, Jason. It sounds good. Apologies for my error that meant you had to come back to the project after I said you were finished.

I have made the changes to Act 5 and it is ready for spot PL. Notes at the end of p11.

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/cupidswhirligig_5_128kb.mp3

Seeing as Phil had to read a line for Newcombe for Act 5, I also got him to read the line that was missing in Act 2 and that I had previously tried to reconstruct from his other lines. It sounds better now, and I have re-uploaded for a spot check. The line “Indeed lady, I am a courtier” comes at ~11.55. The notes are in the middle of p11.

Act 5 is now PL ok.

But something has happened to Act 2  :help: I have not Spot checked your insertions yet, because the first look at the Audacity layout showed me a problem. There are huge gaps, which are 5-second breaks between parts. It also sounds as if some speeches are radically cut off. I hope you still have the masterfile.

The times affected by this problem are:

> from 5:10 – 19:30
> from 26:04 – 26:45

I'm not sure what happened there. Do you think it would be safer to re-listen to it all once more to see if there are any cuts ? :?

Sonia,

Whoops, sorry about that. Some weird inexplicable export problem. The original file looks fine, and I have re-exported the mp3.

ok if you are sure I need not relisten to it all, so much the better.

Nucome's line is 10 seconds later than you said, but I found it and it's perfectly PL ok now. I hope the 10-second difference does not have a sinister meaning :?

So: I guess this play is ready to be archived then 8-) It sounds really great, wonderful job and co-operation.

Looking forward what you will dish out for us next
