Sketch 2 is spot check PL OK.

Please be careful with your file naming. For some reason you changed the naming on this version and added an extra _ in the book title.

Looks like I named The file for Sketch 2 incorrectly. Still learning. Since it was an edited file, I must have to name it differently. Please let me know what I need to do in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

If you don't want to overwrite the original file then you could try different folders.

Sketch 3 is PL OK but if possible try not to record in the same room as the birds. It's a little distracting.

Oh, sorry. I'm actually two rooms away from the birds. I'm in a separate room, and in between is the living room, and the birds are in the dining room. But next time, I'll shut the door. That will cut out their sounds.

Yes, in this case, I did want to overwrite the original file, because the original file had errors. In the future, if I edit an original file, should I change the file name to something slightly different? Then I wouldn't be following the file naming format.

I'd like to claim Sketch 17, A Dark Brown Diplomat. I can do stage directions and Mammy. That would be sections 56 through 58.

The file name needs to match the naming convention in the first post for the project each time you upload it to us. The system automatically renames your old file so it's still available if you made an error with your upload.

Thanks for the additional claim.

OK. That sounds good. So I just name it in the conventional way, even though I had previously submitted a file of the same name? The system just renames the previous file.
Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to do things correctly. I appreciate the time you spend helping me out. :D
Thank you for letting me claim the additional section!

For the audio file of two roles (no stage directions) do I still state at the beginning:
Sketch ## of Modern Monologues by Marjorie Benton Cooke. This is a Librivox recording. All librivox recordings are in the public domain. Roles of ___ and ___ read by ____. [Title of sketch]"

Just your voice credit. Then read the lines of both roles leaving a 3-5 second gap between them and another readers lines. The gap makes it visually easier for the editing process.

Perfect! Knowing that I need to leave a 3-5 second gap between my lines and another person's lines helps me a lot for the recording process. It makes sense that it would be easier that way in the editing process. I'll remember to do that.
I'll read the intro to my audio as you stated.

One more question: if following Lady Macbeth's lines are Portia's lines, should I still leave 3-5 seconds of silence, or just the regular space between the ladies' lines? I've recorded the section, and I want to make sure that in the editing process, I leave the correct spaces. I am definitely leaving 3-5 seconds when the lines spoken belong to a different reader.

If the next lines are also yours then just leave a regular space. Thanks!
