Thanks for the compliment. I do know it well, not only from having played it on stage, but because for many years the Mikado's song was my standard audition piece, which I sang when auditioning for anything. That is why I could not resist the temptation to burst into a semi-sung version when recording this, even though you had specified no singing.Elizabby wrote:Thanks Alan! The Mikado is all PL OK, and hilarious! I loved his song! It also helps that you obviously know the material very well already!
Glad it is acceptable.

I am going to have to withdraw as Katisha and as editor for this project.
Thanks for letting me know Kristin, I'll make those changes to the first post.

I realize it's been two months since I claimed my part, and I'm ready to do it whenever you get the templates up.

Sorry about that. I got caught up in clean up month and haven't done it.
Since you are first, why don't you go ahead and everyone can match your recording instead!

Um...okay. We're just saying the lines with a sort of rhythm/beat, not actually singing them, right? I'll do my best...

If you like, have a listen to my production of Patience or Iolanthe - read it like poetry.

If you listen to the male chorus template for act 1, which is in MW, it will give you guide to the style required.
Just a suggestion.

I'm working on Peep-Bo right now, but I have a question--what do I read?
Do I read:
A) Just the lines marked Peep-Bo and Peep
B) the girl's chorus lines
C) the parts marked chorus, all, chorus of nobles
Also, when it says etc., do I repeat the part that it means or do I say et cetera?
Thanks!

Please read all Peep-Bo and female chorus and "all" lines. Don't read "chorus of nobles" that's the male chorus. Please give me a full repeat, as if it were a sung repeat of a chorus - don't say et cetera!
There's a Japanese pronunciation file, but it's mostly pretty straightforward!

If you're still in need of an editor I can help out with that. I have experience with Audacity.
