COMPLETE[PLAYS] Short Plays from Dickens by Horace Browne - thw
I was considering playing The Waiter - but when I went to take a look, I noticed pages 118-119 are missing from the script.

“What ho!" I said.
"What ho!" said Motty.
"What ho! What ho!"
"What ho! What ho! What ho!"
After that it seemed rather difficult to go on with the conversation.”

Actually, I can usually correct a low volume when I edit so long as 80 or higher. Worst problem is high volume that causes clipping - distortion - too late to fix once in a copy - that can only be fixed by adjusting the original recording.afutterer wrote:PL NOTES:

Todd, I am hesitant to offer your services for any repairs so I will instead enter the PL Notes as I see them. You may then post if you wish to do those changes yourself. Will that work?

PL NOTES:
SECTION 61 - Charity Pecksniff - His daughter
The volume is a bit low at 84.7dB
Only a few hidden lines that need to be addressed here.
~33-43 There should be "scornful laughing" from bottom of pg 96.
Miss C. Those the cap fits, let them wear it.
[Here she sits down sharply and turns her back on
the Miss Pecksniffs. Charity and Mercy begin at
once to laugh scornfully—Mercy laughing far more
naturally than life.
~43-53 There should be "scornful laughing" from middle of pg 99.
Charity and Mercy. Or flogged.
[They laugh scornfully

PL NOTES:
SECTION 72 - Montague Tigg - An undesirable acquaintance of Martin Chuzzlewit
~ 3.56-4.00 There is a point near the bottom of the page where Tigg is about to speak and Martin cuts him off.
I am not sure what should be done here. Todd?
M. C. [Biting his Up] Now, sir, this is a large town,
and we can easily find different ways in it. If you will
show me which is your way, I will take another. [Mr.
Tigg is about to speak, but Martin interposes.]
~ 5.05-5.09 There is a misread here. "It being a matter of business" should be "It being made a matter of business"

I don't mind just having the narrator say these narration words. Laughter by a reader can sound awfully forced unless they do it right....afutterer wrote:PL NOTES:
