Chapters 1 and 3 are PL OK

Chapter 2
0:30 missing lines from page 5
Raskolnikov: "Why do you go?"

Mary, I pulled chapter 3 from MaryAnn's folder. If you change the number in the MW the link will be fine. The rest of the file name is the same. https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/crimeandpunishment_raskolnikov_03.mp3

99% of sections assigned? Well, we can't have that, can we?

Looks like 33 has already been claimed, but if 35, 36, and 37 haven't yet been claimed, I'm glad to record them!

Looks like I might be too late to the party :)

But, as the roles 35-37 are in the same chapter, if a distinct voice for each is preferred, I am glad to do any one of them.

Hey Kalilei,

I am more than happy to share those last leftover parts with you! :D
I looked at the text, and given that Porter 2 and the older workman have a back and forth, would you like to take porter 2? (Porter 3 says very little; he speaks with Porter 2, however, so I can take that, if you don't mind.)

Anybody good with French pronunciation. (I took it in college 30 years ago, but I wasn't great at it even then.) I've got these phrases in my lines:

Palais de Cristal (2.6)
Assez causé! (2.6)
Crevez, chiens, si vous n'êtes pas contents (3.3)
vive la guerre éternelle (3.5)

Not that it helps much, but when I'm in a pinch, I use this site: http://imtranslator.net/translate-and-speak/# Uncheck the "translate" box, pick French, and I usually use the "slower" option. Not great, but better than my wild guesses (without the benefit of any French, college or otherwise).

I know I have used Google speech (with the voice and language changed to French) to get an approximate sense of pronunciation. Let me figure out exactly what I did and reply afterward.

Mmmokay, so I used the "SpeakIt!" Chrome browser extension, which allows you to convert text to speech. In the extension's settings, you can select the language and voice. Alternatively, you can usehttps://speechpad.pw/prononce.php (note that the URL is as I have typed it here, misspelling and all). There's a text-to-speech feature as well as a "check your pronunciation" feature, but I don't know how reliable that is.

You could also ask for help and post the phrases here: viewforum.php?f=23

Sometimes a reader has the extra time and will post the correct pronunciation for you to follow.

Great! I'll record Porter 2.

Thanks for all the suggestions re: French pronunciation. The speechpad link seems to be doing the job.

Kalilei, thank you!

Sherl: Are you comfortable doing different voices for those two roles? Generally, I'd rather the same person not read two roles in the same chapter, but if you're particularly good with voices, go for it. :) Otherwise, just let me know which you'd like.

Thanks all for helping with Pyle's French!
