I am available to take on Pyotr Petrovich, though I wouldn't mind a review of what he has to say before I commit – and I'm having trouble finding the text

Sure! He appears in chapters 12, 16, 22, 23, 27, and 29. Here is the text:

Let me know what you decide!

His name pronunciation is also a tricky one, so you may want to check out the pronunciation guide, unless you know Russian.

PS forgot to mention that someone asked for this pending a one minute test a couple of days ago. I told him I'd hold it for a couple of days. Consider yourself next in line if he decides not to go for it.

I completely understand that I am second in line to claim Luzhin-- if the previous claimant is no longer interested/available, I certainly am. Please let me know when you can! :-)

Great! Looks like this may be your first recording? Could you do your one minute test first?

It's not an audition; just to make sure you have your recording stuff set up right to avoid problems later. I'll hold the role for a few days for you and assign it once you've done that.
Here you are! Thank you for your patience. A weektime workday and neighborhood construction do not an easy recording make. All the best to the other claimant, who I am sure would make an excellent Luzhin in the event of some unforeseen disappearance on my part.

Hi William, you are good to go. Please make sure to leave a few seconds of silence between your lines so we can visually see where the breaks are for editing in the lines from other readers. You may also want to amplify your work a couple of dB. As I indicated in your Listeners Wanted post you are on the low end of the range.

Here is Amalia Fyodorovna Lippevechsel, or whatever she likes to be called:

I have given her a really atrocious German accent, if you prefer, I can tone it down to the way I normally speak.

I have also taken the liberty of changing "burgomeister" to "Buergermeister" and "Siberia" to "Sibiria" which is more in line with what a German would say.
Cheers, Ava.
