2m11s - gap in phrase shouldn't be there
4m35s - 2 "let me go"s technically not in the script, but it fits nicely so not a PL comment!

@ beginning missing phrase ""I've been all day with Sofya ..."

I've enjoyed listening to your reading. You capture her emotions beautifully.
Some things to consider for future DR's:
- My comment from CH 17 about variable volume for individual lines which makes the editors job more difficult. I've not commented here on the volume as I think that it's part of the drama that makes Dounia.
- Where the line is split by the narrator saying "she said" you only leave a very small gap. This could make it more difficult for the editor to work out if it is a single phrase or there is another part that needs to be inserted.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this.

Missing line at 7s ""You've told us a great deal that is interesting...."

Your volume is quite variable in this chapter. It's soft in the beginning, gets much louder esp at 2m50s and then reverts to normal. This means that the editor has to adjust the volumes for each of your phrases so that you fit in with the other parts.

You can either adjust the volumes of each section manually by selecting each section and testing the volume, or Auphonic.com. The site requires you to register, but then you can process 2 hours of audio each month for free. Use a loudness target of -20 to get to about 89 dB of volume.

I'll continue with PL'ing shortly.
I'm aware there is a difference in volume, as she is upset at one point. If you test the file, you will see that it is wthin the range due to the different volumes, so that wouldn't tell you anything. I'll use the leveler on it to smooth it out a little, but seeing as I am the editor...

Just realised that and updated the post a min ago! (Just been editing a piece that has variations in volume in every single phrase and it was horrible :( ... hence why I'm trying to sort it out now.
Audphonic.com sounds like a great tool.

Ahh, yes, it is horribly annoying, but I have a tip for you. Download ReplayGain:
Replay Gain plugin for Audacity: - http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=4668

1. Save the file to your computer - your desktop or somewhere where you can easily find it.
2. Now browse to the folder in which Audacity is installed. It's probably in C:\Program Files\Audacity) and then open the Plug-Ins folder.
3. Drag the file you saved into the Plug-Ins folder.
4. When next you start up Audacity, you will be able to select the whole recording (Ctrl+A on Windows), then go to Analyze | ReplayGain, and it'll tell you how much to amplify your file to get to about 89 dB.
Then, instead of amplifying, use leveler. It will amplify the file, but it will also level it out, so that those files who have a very big difference in volumes gets more leveled out, and those that allready are pretty level only gets amplified.
I edit a lot, and it's worked pretty well for me:)

YES! Thanks so much! I'm sorry about my shamefully delayed response--was traveling this week. Are you still on board?
