Svidrigailov seems fun to voice and not too much work even though he has a couple of monologues. I'll claim him. I did Porter 2 who appears in Ch 13 but I assume that's not a problem?

I could do Svidrigailov if it's still available!

Did you do a different voice for Porter 2? If so, he's all yours.

Looks like Kalilei beat you to him by just a few hours. Sorry, and thank you for offering!

Also, Katerina Ivanovna has been reclaimed by previous reader.

I try to do a different voice. Here are the first two short sections. You can see if it is different enough, if you want, before I continue with the longer sections.

PL ok. Volume is low, at 84 and 83dB, however so maybe you can increase for the remainder of the chapters.

EDIT: Also, please number the remainder of your files according to chapter number instead of section number. Thank you!

Romanovitch chapter 2 is spot check PL OK.

Mary, initial post says files should be numbered based on the section number. Some readers are doing this and some are using the chapter number. Do you care? Since you are moving sections around I thought I should ask. If you don't care or maybe for the next DR, from a PL standpoint I find chapter number a lot easier. With section number I keep opening the wrong google doc looking for the lines. <sigh>

Linny,
It should be chapter number and not section number. Amazing to me that we are 2 years into this project and you are the first to point that out -- so thank you for your attention to detail!

As a person with a male voice, I could take up the torch of Luzhin if you need it.

Great! Looks like this may be your first recording? Could you do your one minute test first?

http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

It's not an audition; just to make sure you have your recording stuff set up right to avoid problems later. I'll hold the role for a few days for you and assign it once you've done that.
