Fomitch's passages include saying the name "Koch", which isn't in the pronunciation guide. How are you reading it? The former Mayor of New York City rhymed it with "notch", while the former Libertarian Party candidate for Vice President rhymes it with "joke".
tovarisch wrote:Sorry about the missing names in the guide. We didn't collect all of them, unfortunately.

I looked it up in the original and it's "KOh-KH" (it's a German name, methinks). There is also "Pestryakov"; if you can, read it with emphasis on 'o' (pes-trya-KOFF, both 'e' and 'a' are basically "schwa").
Thanks, Jim. I've signed you up. And thanks tovarisch for jumping in to answer that. It's my fault that it wasn't in the guide; I think I failed to include it because it's not Russian, and I was so preoccupied with the Russian pronunciation.

May I please claim part #23, Luise Ivanovna?
(I'll probably be channeling Cloris Leachman or Madelyn Kahn for the German accent! :D )

The volume is still too low, needing 4-6db added to bring it to the Librivox range of 89db.
...
Can you re-load the files when you've corrected the volume?

Thank you.
After what seems like entirely too long, yes, I certainly can.

I would like to read Zossimov, sections 34 - 39 please. I believe that section 34 should be chapter 11 and not chapter 10.

Hi! I would like to read Nastasya Petrovna.. the thing is.. i'm not a native english speaker, could i upload a test so somebody could tell me if it's suitable? :D There aren't many things to read in spanish (my native language) at the forum... fewer dramatic ones, so it would be awesoomee if my tiny little accent was acceptable :D
