MrsHand wrote:Just an FYI....I submitted Danglars chapters 1-5, but they got linked next to chapters 2-5 and 28. So my Chapter 1 file is currently listed as part of Chapter 2 for editing. Thought it might be better to bring it up now rather than later.
Obs, thanks for catching that:)

Danglars chap 2 is PL OK

In chap 3, at 01:20 and 02:24, you misspronounce "Edmond Dantes", and at 01:28 and 01:44 "Fernand"
Listen to the pronounciation guide in the first post, you'll find them both there.
At 02:41, you missed a line, "To-day the preliminaries, to-morrow or next day the ceremony! You are in a hurry, captain!"
At 03:28 I hear "pharon" instead of "Pharaon"

In chapter 4, at 5:08, misspronounciation of "Edmond" and at 6:19 "Fernand"

In chapter 5, at 1:16, there is a strange backround noise tha ruins one of the lines , sound a bit like a plane?
At 1:45 there is a line I coulored wrong, sorry about that, so you're missing ""Hold your tongue, you fool!—what should you know about it?—why, you were drunk"
At 5:02 there's a car honk or something in the background
At 5:34 the line is "The Hypocrite", but you said "Hypocrite", and it sounds a bit like you're saying it to Morrel
AT 6:13 and 8:15 I hear "Pharon", instead of "Pharaon"
6:25 missponounciation of Edmund

Sorry to be so strict, but you are doing a great job reading it:)

Just checking if my pronunciation etc. is ok for these placenames, especially. (I see for Eugenie, she mostly speaks people-names, which have the pronunciation guide to help. ) Also I wanted to make sure that I was uploading the proper FLAC file for you!

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristo_teresa_36.flac (0:38)
https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristo_teresa_33.flac (0:42) -- I feel a bit like the WhenHarryMetSally faking-it scene, with all of the enthusiastic "Yes!"es in that one.

For Eugenie, should I list both first and last name when doing my "read by" line?

Oh, MrsHand: for pops, I've found a Microphone filter (I think this is what I have: http://smile.amazon.com/Dragonpad-filter%C2%AE-Microphone-Flexible-Gooseneck/dp/B008AOH1O6/ ) can be really helpful.

A low-tech version is to take pantyhose/tights and stretch them over a hanger or embroidery hoop other such frame, and make sure it's about 1" from the mic (not touching it).

I had horribly plosive "P"s before I got this. Now I don't need to edit at all - those pops are caught in the screen before the mic hears them!

Here's the updated files...I think I got them all.

For Chapters 3 & 5, I got the pronuncation for Pharaon from here: http://www.forvo.com/word/pharaon/ because I didn't see it elsewhere. I re-recorded it to sound a bit more French.
