Welcome to LibriVox! Thanks, I will sign you up for the old man. What Cataloge name would you like to have?
Just put me up as Amydoll for now, please. I will get to recording, then! :)

If I have any questions I will ask away.

Oh, yes, how would I pronounce the name "Marquis Bartolomeo Cavalcanti"? I can not find it on the Pronunciation guide.

Forvo is a great place to find if you need, just type out a word at the time. Here you go:)

I tried yesterday and this morning to upload my parts (montecristo_gendarme4_98.flac ; montecristo_maid_99.flac ; montecristo_sicknurse_102.flac) but the uploader keeps telling me "The filetype you are attempting to upload is not allowed". Please can someone explain?

Minnie,

The uploader should take a .flac file, and I don't see anything amiss in your file names, but if you're having trouble, would you mind trying to upload them as .mp3 files?

Thank you for getting back to me. That didn't work either :/ Maybe there's a problem with the recording itself. I'll check it out as soon as I'm able. I'd still like to record these parts :D

hi Minnie, this might seem an obvious question, but are you sure it's a .flac file (or .mp3) ? Because it could be that you simply named the file with the typed out letters "flac" at the end. Then it could still be an audacity file, for all we know. Just to make sure, you need to name the file montecristo_gendarme4_98 and only then export to flac and audacity will then add the extension .flac at the end.

Could you check if that is what you did ? I thought I better mention it, because actually it already happened to other readers in the beginning. I did see that you managed to upload the files back in November, so I am guessing you know how to do it. But still...it's better to ask the obvious than keeping quiet and missing the opportunity to help :)

Here's the rest of Notary 2 (If I'd realized how short they were I would have done them long ago)

:O
I just found this and I'm so hyped. This is one of my favourite books ever!

I'm still pretty new to Librivox (I've done 3 poems and 1 ~10 minute recording so far..) but I'd LOVE to be a part of this. I'm female and really don't think I could pull off a boyish sound.

I'm a bit confused by the MW here and which roles still need readers.

Also, considering that this is a dramatic reading and a huge project, I can imagine you might not want a newbie to join just yet?
Foon - Real life is getting in the way of LV, will be slow until all is back on track, please bear with me!

Readers needed:
Dramatic Reading: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Folklore/legends: Arabian Nights Vol. 11
Play: Zeus the Tragedian
