well he had a big role here. Cleverly acted for the clever and wily servant, Adrian. I found he was quite saucy for a man in his position

I have a few notes for you still:

Act 1:
> at 0:01: for the voice credit, please always include the full description you can see in the MW: "Libanus, Servant of Demaenetus, read by Adrian Stephens"

Act 2:
> at 11:30: (p. 500) "oh by all means..." till "...so blinded my eyesight" – can be cut, this is Leonida speaking

Act 3:
> at about 4:53: (p. 511) three quotes missed
- We must walk up and down; now, in my turn, they'll be entreating me.
- It shall be seen to; I wish it done; return here at nightfall. Now bid her, ever so little, to beg and entreat them of me.
- Why, really, with them both.

thanks

Thank you, Sonia. Yes, he did have, from my perspective, curious relationships with his fellow slaves and master.
I've no doubt the contemporary crowd found this highly amusing.

Here is Leonida for act 2:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/asinariaortheassdealer_leonida_2.mp3 (17:56)

I hope the repartee comes off well in combination, these two slaves have a lot of banter!
I'll be out for a bit on this last weekend of April, but still checking in as I get the chance. I will try to follow up on Monday, with anything I can't do on the go.

 indeed they have a huge dialogue here. Well done  Leonida sounds very lively and like the scoundrel he is  looking forward to hearing this scene stitched together.

Only two small edits to make:

> at 0:43: (p. 491) between "if I could only meet Libanus" and "I'd give" – you could leave more silence, as it's two separate speeches

> at about 15:34: (p. 501) missed line: "Do you persist in soliciting the scamp ?"

thank you

guilty until proven innocent, you know how it goes

Here's a nice taste of what will await you when you come home...

Recording time: 5:46 min.

signed: the wife with the dowry
Oh deary me. I guess my being called the "King above all men" by you as my wife character earlier this year is now replaced by the phrase "Rise, wencher, be off home!" I am doomed.

PL OK.

What a long way to carry a joke. It might have gotten heavy by the end.

Aged Athenian Demaenetus, subject of the now dreaded phrase "Rise, wencher, be off home!", awaits PL in the MW....

 indeed he loves to hear himself talk. Excellently done, thank you so much. I especially love the tongue-in-cheek way of speaking you sometimes use  Very fitting for this character.

All PL ok

 well what did you expect, after I had to hear such speeches coming from your uncouth mouth. Wishing me dead, yes ? Unclean breath, yes ? Only loved when absent, yes ? There's only one reply to this: Rise, wencher, be off home !

And you can carry your PL ok with you while you're at it.

Nicely acted, Todd, thanks :) Great job on switching so fast from big-mouthed macho to henpecked softie by the end of act 5 ;)
