It zoons just great!

Just one fix, a case of that sneaky s/f, biding its time to strike.
@3:38, at the end of page 51, it's probably "that lover there has open'd his -Case- very plainly"

Zoons, so not a cafe then!

Sancho Panca act 4:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/comicalhistorypart1_sanchopanca_4.mp3
about 20 minutes

BTW, I had to turn to the google books copy of the same edition to resolve some of the blurry words.

Do you have a link to the google books copy? I might offer it as an alternative....

Thanks, Todd

A quick search here brings up three scans, of which this one seems most readable on the whole.
This one has a lighter background for contrast, but a tad more ink bleed.

Page numbers look the same as our scan, for both.

Well, well, Sancho has enough! I like how animated he sounds in this act... and you did a really, really amazing job on the chant!

Todd, I'll continue to spot-check the first Google script I linked against the Archive.org scan, but I've yet to see any differences - so if it's alright, I'll use that as the primary PL document going forward.

Adrian, two notes for you, and a pair of "especially optional"s.
This is a long reading, and I have the advantage of starting off with the cleaner script!

@13:49, first line on pg74, text says "-[s/f]mall- ferret eyes" - probably "small", but I hear "final".

@2:32, OPTIONAL, most-way down pg60, we're missing a pause for stage direction in "...here's six grinders missing on one [narrator's line] side...". Probably editable, but this would save Todd some time if he keeps that bit of stage direction.

@2:02, OPTIONAL, Sounds like an extra take snuck in here, just needs a snip while we're at it.

@0:12, pg59, "upon a Down -Bed- the -Governor- lies", though I might not have guessed it from the original script!
I like how Sancho begins referring to himself as a governor already.

Here are my first two acts for stage directions, I do have the rest recorded and just need to edit them, hoping to finish editing the rest today but I might not so want to send these now. Those fs and ss are absolutely brutal, it was the worst time I've had recording (especially that first thing to your grace) so I hope it still sounds okay.

Yes, and you probably had the worst of it, with so many all together in the dedication! Well done, though - I think you got them all right!

For Act 1, I only heard one word swap that would have confused me as a listener:
@2:44, on page "iv", in "protect you in the expected -hour- of trouble", I hear "honor"

I did also notice the volume is a bit high, so if you can also use Amplify (at -2 or -3 db), that'll save a smidgeon or two of time on editing.

---

For Act 2, that's a frankly unreadable mess on that last line of page 25, and you did a good job trying to muddle through it. But we do have a better scan now! Also a couple optional bits to remove, if I could trouble you to do so while you're at it.

@5:59, OPTIONAL - I think this second 'exit' before the 'exeunt' is an extra - page 34.

@5:33, OPTIONAL - In the introduction to the song on page 32, I hear a long pause between "despairing" and "love". Could use a patch.

@2:20, page 25
Now reading from a better scan at Google Books, it looks like it's supposed to say:
[ Sticks her Scutchen, and now all together round his
Head, bear these Words, The Knight of the ill-
favour'd Face.

Thanks for the fast PLing, redrun! I'll work on the changes when I can, here is the rest of the stage directions in the meantime. Also note I wasn't sure if/when people reading stage directions are supposed to do a voice credit so at the end of the last act I say the stage directions were read by me.

Good catch, I should have noticed your credit was missing! End of the last act works just fine, and now we'll know to look there.

I'll get these PL'd soon as well, tomorrow if not this evening. 8-)

Thank you for your kind words. Had a lot of fun with the chant.
