Working on it. Halfway through Act 1.... Why do these authors have to have stage directions for every line? Don't they trust their actors to act??

Thanks, Todd

Missing Mrs Rollitt line, page 25 - said loudly from without - "Dick Hanningford - Dick Hanningford, my boy!" Carried off by spiders methinks....

Separate file please.

Acts 1 and 2 assembled, though not ready for PL yet.

Act 2 is an hour 15 minutes, but I am sure it will fit when I adjust the gaps and eliminate a couple useless stage directions....

 brilliant, all of you. And excellently edited, good you left quite a few stage directions out, they were unnecessary indeed. All perfectly PL ok. A great start of this play.

Thanks

Act 2 is ready for Final PL.

Another wonderfully acted story with yet another strange plot twist at the very end of the act!

yep, Hanningford is not dead yet. Another brilliant comedy act. Super performance by all and expertly edited. Totally PL ok, thank you. Good thing we didn't have to split in the middle.

And finally, Act 3 is ready for final PL. Some trouble in this act what with sections of stage directions as written explaining what is about to happen, and then repeating itself as it does happen - sort of a built-in spoiler to the plot. I tried to remove stuff like that so there is more suspense in what happens.

Thank you all for a wonderful performance!

> at 32:57: (p. 64) is this the big chunk of stage directions that you mean ? I actually found it quite interesting to hear what is really happening in this scene, the moves of the different people are not that accurately conveyed by what they say. But it's your choice, so if you want to leave it out, I'm ok with it.

Other than that, all can be marked PL ok. Definitely a great finale. And everybody acting it out so well. 8-) Highly enjoyed it.

But now I need to go to bed...but I wanted to finish this one so you can catalogue two plays today.

Thanks, all !!!

I'm interested to see you say that you liked the big chunk of deleted stage directions. To me they really seemed like a spoiler for what happens.

I will take a look at putting at least some of them back in. They certainly do describe better what is about to happen on stage as they are presented before it all does happen in this scene - easier to understand than just depending on having the individual actions and stage direction words come along as the scene goes on.

I guess it is sorta like the Prologues in Plautus plays. They often have spoilers too....

Thanks, Todd
