aww poor Letty, she is so frantically trying to pass as happy that evening, she is nearly hysterical. You had a lot of laughs here to perform, well done, Jenn.jennlea wrote: ↑July 24th, 2022, 9:33 amHere is Letty's Act 3:

I am so sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to give up the role of Hilda.
Thanks, Sonia!Kitty wrote: ↑July 25th, 2022, 2:13 amaww poor Letty, she is so frantically trying to pass as happy that evening, she is nearly hysterical. You had a lot of laughs here to perform, well done, Jenn.jennlea wrote: ↑July 24th, 2022, 9:33 amHere is Letty's Act 3:

thank you for the new timestamps. Acts 3 and 4 are PL ok now. Aww and Letty is so changed in the epilogue now, so quiet and content, though there is a little bit of sadness in her voice after all. Well done, Jennjennlea wrote: ↑July 29th, 2022, 7:42 pmHere are the corrections to Act 3:

Two small notes this time:
> at 8:45: (p. 244) "through no desert of my own" - I think it would make more sense here that she meant she didn't do anything to deserve it, so it would be stressed on the final syllable "deSERT". Your meaning is the sandy wasteland, which doesn't really fit in context
> at 10:24: (p. 247) "I forget no one" - you said "forgot": this is optional but I think, using the present tense, coupled with the look she gives him in the end, she means to say she also will never forget him and the time she had when she was dreaming of a future with him. A bitter-sweet ending, so to speak
thanks
Sonia
Thanks as always for the kind words and careful PLing. I could have sworn the text read as "forgot" on the last line and I thought it sounded a bit off. I think it may be time for glassesKitty wrote: ↑July 30th, 2022, 2:01 am thank you for the new timestamps. Acts 3 and 4 are PL ok now. awww this "forget" is now soooo full of meaning, it gave me a shudder to hear it. It's a perfect ending to this play. Excellently corrected, thank you, Jenn. thank you for this excellently moping performance. I pictured Ivor as the eternally unhappy husband, but I think he had it coming, the way he is behaving. Well acted, and all PL okOooThatsNifty wrote: ↑August 14th, 2022, 7:41 amIvor Crosbie - Act 1:
