ha, this was a hilarious performance. You managed to voice all the German idiosyncracies so well. Do you speak German by any chance ? And the name is correctly pronounced. It was excellently done. Totally PL ok. Only the background noise could have been cleaned a bit, but Todd will do that in the editing phase, so nothing to do for you here. I'll make a note in the MW.

Thank you so much, and I hope to hear you soon in another play :)

Sonia
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I actually don't speak German, I just followed the script and drew on my limited knowledge of German, practiced the lines a bit before recording to get into the groove with the accent. I actually was worried it wouldn't the accent wouldn't sound very good but it's a comedy so I thought even if I screwed up it might add to the humor, happy I got it right though. Sorry about the background noise.

I will definitely consider it, this was quite fun

still a despicable character, I fear he is beyond redemption. Another excellently played act, thank you Alan. PL ok

well done, thank you so much. In the beginning I thought, he sounds so mightily embarrassed, but then of course this is all just an act put up by this schemer to make people feel at ease. you are changing your tune quite fast. A nice touch. I enjoyed it.

All three acts PL ok. Just careful when stage directions are inside your speeches, then you also need to leave more space for the editor to copy/paste accurately. No need to do it this time, but it's for future plays ;)

Dexter act 3

As this is a very short role I thought I might as well finish it

then I'll PL right away  oh and you gave it your all for this final performance, really really great when he starts screaming at Clara. Wonderfully acted, loved it, thank you Alan. And this makes Dexter fully PL ok.

Hanningford: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/woodbarrowfarm_hanningford_2.mp3 (00:17) and https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/woodbarrowfarm_hanningford_3.mp3 (05:07). I read the play - it's quite funny. Hanningford turned out a bit piratical. He's certainly not a gentleman.

Thank you. Our PL'er Sonia is away a few days but will be back later in the week to listen.

We did another play by Jerome a while back and it was quite funny as well. I'll probably track down another one when this one finishes.

Thanks, Todd

 he certainly is not a gentleman, you portrayed him excellently as a man used to living in the rough and knowing all the tricks of the trade. And I was right (of course  ) that you would do extremely well in our dramatic group. A wonderful performance, I enjoyed it immensely. And I do hope that you are "hooked on drama" now and that we will hear you in plenty more plays.

Act 2 is straight PL ok.

You missed three lines in Act 3 however:

> at 0:01: (p. 57) please insert:
- Morning, gentlemen.
- Good morning.
- Guess I'm not a particularly welcome visitor here.

Thanks !

Sorry about that - I did record those lines but made a mistake with exporting the files! The new version is at https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/woodbarrowfarm_hanningford_3.mp3, duration now 05:34.

I'll look forward to doing more plays in the not too distant future!
