Well, to me your example is a physical action. I see the actor turning, stooping, waiting, and confidentially stage whispering to the audience for the aside, and then straightening up and turning back to Pancake to speak to him in character. When I edit I will expect to insert a gap before the "to Pancrace" that provides enough time in a listener's mind for those actions to have happened.

So a 3-5 second gap should go there. And the easy way is to ALWAYS put gaps in a character file. It is much easier for me to remove or edit a gap to be shorter when I assemble the play than it is to find the right place in a string of words to break them apart to add a gap or stage direction where it belongs.

Plus which, I tend to do my first rough assembly visually, based on the number of lines to insert of each character based on the gaps in the reader file. With gaps too short, I have to listen to each line as I assemble, which really slows me down. (Everything has already been PL'd so I don't have to worry about line errors.) I'd rather not listen until I am slowly going through the assembled act and making fine adjustments to timing and volume to tell the author's story as best I can.
