https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/heartsofthree_torres_25.mp3 ~2:01
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/heartsofthree_torres_27.mp3 ~2:51

Now I know why I'm not in the last couple of Chapters.

You may (will) have to do something with the "Maniacal scream". If you want me to do something else, just let me know.

This has been a lot of fun. I had a part like this once before where the character was a 'major driver' in the plot, but really didn't have a lot of lines. A lot of my character's work is in the narration.

Thanks,

Wayne
Ahhhh :D What an amazing antagonist you gave us!!

Torres 22, 25, and 27 are all PL OK

Your scream is awesome, and it edits just fine for use!

Chapter 23 has one extra line at the end, 6:05 - an out-take of "I am not denying. . . " her physical beauty line, which is in place earlier in the chapter, so this one at the end is superfluous.

First, thanks for the complement. :9:

That line was left over from the editing. When I have to correct something when I listen to it again, either because I messed up or didn't like the way it came out, I rerecord that section, then paste it where it should go. I usually 'control X' it when I copy it so it doesn't mess me up like this one did. Sorry.

Thanks for the chance, it was fun.

And Torres is complete!

(I think we both do a lot of things the same way, so I recognize what happened) :)

Lynette,

I just finished reading the book. That isn't one I would have guessed Jack London would have written. And, "spoiler alert" all turns out well for everyone, well, maybe not for Señor Álverez Torres.

I know - very different from what you expect. We're going to include the introduction with the DP on this one, as London explains this book's uniqueness among his work.

Poor Torres - but hey, he got to go out in high drama! No slinking off in some wimpy way.

Are there any more lines in other chapters for "broken woman" and, if so, where would I be able to read them? Also, what is the proper pronunciation of the name "Otho"? Is it more like Otto or do you pronounce the "th" sound in it?
Thanks, Dawn

Dawn, no, Broken Woman was only in the one chapter. You may pronounce Otho however you feel is best. Appreciate you asking.
