Todd,
I looks like there isn't really to much for the 'part', but it does look like it will take some close examination, but may I try the Stage Directions?
Thanks,
Wayne
edit: Do you want me to read the names of each of the "Airs" before they are sung?
edit #2: In what order do you want me to read the players? In the order in the MW or in the order in the play?

We never really grow up, we just learn how to act in public.

Thank you.
Please include the Dedication and Preface before the Dramatic Personae. Read the Dramatis Personae in the order printed in the play - the MW moves around too much.
Please do read "Air 1" and if it is printed, the name of the tune ("Tweed Side" for example for Air 2). Do not read the actual names of the Airs from the list before the Dramatis Personae - those are just the first lines of each air which will be given by whoever is first in chanting the air in the scenes.
Thanks, Todd

thank you, Krista, this was entertaining, though Dorothea is a bit mean, making fun of Quixote. But you portrayed her excellently well.kristakz wrote: ↑January 21st, 2022, 9:03 pmDorothea Act I is uploaded

I have a few small corrections to note down however:
for Act 1:
> at 1:05: (p. 110) "the same, it can be no other" – you say "fame", the tricky long 's' struck again. She clearly means "the same Don", in reply to Jezebel's question
> at 3:11: (p. 13) "which effeminate Italy, France and Spain" – you say "esseminate" (I'm not sure that word even exists) and here it is indeed two 'ff'
> at 3:21: (p. 13) "Oh the roast beef of Old England, And Old England's roast beef" - the second repetition of the chorus is said by Sancho, you can cut out one version
for Act 3:
> from 1:33 to 1:41: (p. 43) "Would fortune... (to) ...would Billy pursue" – these 4 lines are spoken by Fairlove, you can cut them
> at 4:30: (p. 57) "Indeed I am, I hate and despise you in the most serious earnest" – you say "furious"
thanks

Thanks. I wasn't sure about those verses, but figured it was easier to remove than to add laterKitty wrote: ↑January 24th, 2022, 3:28 amthank you, Krista, this was entertaining, though Dorothea is a bit mean, making fun of Quixote. Todd,
A couple of more questions that I should have thought of earlier.
I have just recorded the Dedication, Preface and DP. The main question is do you want a separate file for them? As it now stands it is about 7:41, but of course that is with the pause between each character, so, in reality, it will be a little shorter. As I saved the file, the question came to me that if you want to keep it as a separate file, what 'Act' number do I put in. I, for now, put in '0'. The second question is how do you want to handle the "Introduction"? Part of this file, separate file, with the First Act, or all of the above in one file. I will hang on to the stuff I have already recorded, awaiting the divine revelations from above .

it's a good voice for many roles, in my opinion. And you're excelling as Sancho here, thank you Alan. A never-ending source of adages I see.alanmapstone wrote: ↑January 28th, 2022, 2:21 amSancho act 1

Only two small cuts to make:
> at 2:41: (p. 3) stumble and repeat: "there's an end of thee" – "there's" can get cut once
> from 9:52 to 9:57: (p. 13) between "mad or no" and "I'm sure" – you can cut the long pause, it's inside the same speech chunk
the rest was perfect, nice little ditty too

There are some points in the script when the text on the other side of the page seems to show through making it a tricky script to read at times

if you are unsure about some sentences, just post the faulty page here and we can all help out in guessing.alanmapstone wrote: ↑January 28th, 2022, 3:14 amSancho act 1 revised

I do not want them as a separate file. I want to have them all in the same file with Act 1.Kalamareader wrote: ↑January 27th, 2022, 9:31 pm Todd,
