Don Quixote in England, by Henry Fielding (1707 - 1754)
"The Audience, I believe, are all acquainted with the Character of Don Quixote and Sancho. I have brought them over into England, and introduced them at an Inn in the Country, where, I believe, no one will be surpris'd that the Knight finds several People as mad as himself."
(Summary by Author)
This project is complete. Audio files can be found on our Librivox catalog page at https://librivox.org/don-quixote-in-england-by-henry-fielding/

So we have had the story of Tom Thumb by Fielding. And a Puppet Show. So why not his version of Don Quixote?

Gender neutral.

NO SINGING - just chant when there is any obvious singing. (And if your character is speaking when a song starts in the script, then you PROBABLY should be chanting that song! There are not always extra character labels as to who sings - or in this case chants - what.)

Oh, and by the way, this is an old script with funny F's for S's: fear not, you can handle it.

Kitty will be Mrs Guzzle as well as our DPL. Mrs Guzzle wants order and decorum in her establishment, and I am sure you all want to give her what she wants, yes? So mind your Ps and Qs as you record, or at least use a pop-screen....

Mrs Guzzle completely redeemed herself with her last line about not parting the lovers. Ahhh, sweet. Particularly considering what abuse she poured out about me throughout the rest of the play!!

PL OK.

Thanks, Todd
