I’ve been rewatching all the Star Trek TV franchise, and am currently about halfway through Deep Space Nine.

You may recall that Commander Sisko was a baseball fanatic in a Federation where the game had gone extinct.

Which led me to purchase a Megapack collection of PD baseball stories for a couple of bucks on Google Play, wherein were some examples of Zane Grey’s baseball stories.

I’m now reading through all of his baseball stories that I can find.

Bear in mind that Australia is a cricketing nation.

Cheers,
Chris

Baseball gone extinct? No wonder they call it science fiction.

Last weekend I went to Gdynia, a city on the Baltic coast where I spent a few hours watching an exposition in the Museum of Emigration. While doing so, I came across some relavent names that I'm going to check for PDness. One poem whose status I confirmed will be LV-eligible next year.
