[Spa (Onsen, おんせん, or 温泉)]

Do you know Onsen (Hot Spa naturally)? Onsen and Kousen (こうせん, 鉱泉, or Mineral Spring Spa naturally) are differentiated by law in my teens. Of course, Kousen is not inferior to Onsen. The only difference is whether we warm it or not. Onsen is near Volcano surely and we are bad surely. So, if we go to Onsen, the volcano bursts out surely!

Yubatake (ゆばたけ, 湯畑): We adjust here Sulfur, Poisonous Gas. Water Tempareture, and so on.

まんだら屋の良太 (まんだらやのりょうた, or "Ryouta of Japanese Onsen Hotel Mandara-ya"):
A very famous manga. The stories are built upon imaginary Kukitani Spa Town (くきたにおんせん, or 九鬼谷温泉). This manga isn't family fiendly because the manga is full of sexy jokes. But, fortunately, (unfortunately!), you never can understand the jokes. Because the characters speak in very very local dialect. I loved the manga in my twenties. I had all the books and had perused them all. The manga was dramatized and aired by N.H.K.. (This manga is also translated in French.) The cartoonist is a big fan of Miyazawa Kenji (みやざわ けんじ, or 宮沢 賢治). So, Ryouta's face looks like Kenji's.
https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=%E3%81%BE%E3%82%93%E3%81%A0%E3%82%89%E5%B1%8B%E3%81%AE%E8%89%AF%E5%A4%AA&hl=ja&gbv=1&tbm=isch&ei=2hC4XptW8vGHA7OEk4AG&start=0&sa=N
まんだら (Mandara) means Tenugui (てぬぐい, 手拭い, or a face towel in current Japanese) in Japanese slang (in Rakugoka's secret language). I won't give an explanation on Rakugoka (らくごか, 落語家) now.

Kousen (Onsen now) is very good. Because they are near tourist resorts. Onsen near Toyokawa-shi in Aichi Prefecture, where CSCO lives, follows:

Kanzanji Onsen (かんざんじおんせん, or 舘山寺温泉): in Hamamatsu-shi in Shizuoka Prefecture; in Unagi-Inu city Hamamatsu-shi (はままつし, or 浜松市):

[Momoe-chan (ももえちゃん, or 百恵ちゃん)]

Momoe-chan is world-famous through cartoonist Sakura Momoko (さくらももこ) sensei's Little Maruko (ちびまる子ちゃん). In a polite way, Momoe-chan is Mrs. 'Miura Tomokazu (みうら ともかず, or 三浦 友和)'. But no one calls her so. Because she is Momoe-chan forever. She was a singer and actress. She was a superstar in Japan.

Honestly speaking, I disliked Momoe-chan for a long time. Because she never smiled, or her smile was in sad always. Sometimes, I wondered why did they like her so much. I was so kid that I couldn't see that ones who hold sadness were embracing the sad. But when she sang Otomeza Kyu (乙女座 宮, or Virgo), I became her fan.

Momoe-chan acted Hatue (はつえ, or 初江) in a movie of The Sound of Waves (しおさい, or 潮騒). Which is authored by Mishima Yukio (みしま ゆきお, or 三島 由紀夫). The story was set in Kami-shima (かみしま, or 神島). I must read the novel as soon as possible.

[Toukaidou 53 stations (東海道五十三次)]

I must explain Toukaidou (東海道) at first. Shougun Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川 家康) defined 5 highways from Edo (江戸). This is Go-kaidou (五街道). Toukaidou is a route to Kyouto (京都) and runs through the south foot of Mt. Fuji.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ja/thumb/f/f9/%E6%9D%B1%E6%B5%B7%E9%81%93.svg/512px-%E6%9D%B1%E6%B5%B7%E9%81%93.svg.png

The Toukaidou had 53 stations. Toyokawa-Shi (豊川市) has 2 stations of them. Which is Goyu (御油) and Akasaka (赤坂). These two stations are the nearest neighbors of the 53 stations. (The reason is that Akasaka was a sexy spot at that time. They stayed at Goyu and played at Akasaka. (omitted) There is a public cemetery for the women at Akasaka.)

[Chasing the wind (風を追う)]

I've noticed that some Japanese (Nagoya people) think my writing style is not enough for them!

I still can't write in highly formal style.
https://www.thoughtco.com/formal-style-in-prose-1690870
https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/general_writing/academic_writing/using_appropriate_language/levels_of_formality.html

My English writings look like the informal. However, I am a Japanese. I'm not a Japanese scholar. I'm not a Japanese lawer. But a Japanese mean man! Yes, my writings have many mistakes. But I can write in English. Although they look like childish, I'm so grateful and proud.

Yes, I've been aware my writings lack preciseness. My pen point is thick like a crayon waiting to be sharpened. (They hit a sore spot!)

My Holy Bible (CEV) mustn't be blamed. My childish soul bears the childish English writings. If they need highly formal English, they had better have their men read KJV. (I will read Lolita too!) Thank God for CEV. For giving it to me. What I need is not to learn formal style but to learn polite style.

Wouldn't you say to a chinese tenant farmer who grows chinese cabbage that he must buy a tuxedo as workwear? (They are jealous because I look like Tuxedo Mask!)

[Tezutu (てづつ or 天筒)]

Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川 家康), the first Shogun of Edo Government, came from Okazaki (岡崎). Now, Okazaki is Okazaki-Shi, Aichi-Ken (Aichi Prefecture, or 愛知県). He denyed to make powder. Only his home, Mikawa area (Okazaki and the surrounding area, or 三州 (さんしゅう)) and Hamamatu area (Hamamatu and the surrounding area, or 遠州 (えんしゅう)), had powder makers. Toyokawa-Shi (豊川市) is next to Okazaki-Shi. So, we fire handmade hanabi (firework or 花火) at summer festivals. (Strangers suppose you are my big girl.)

Tezutu (てづつ or 天筒):

(We are looking on together and your hand is in mine naturally.)

Unfortunately, Toyokawa Civic Festival quits Tezutu afterwards. But you can look on Tezutu at summer night shrines. ("Don't cancel the promise, Chick!" "Ow, I didn't promise." (Chick kicks on my shin lightly.)) Chick, you are gone and summer comes again.

[Minyou (民謡)]

The Japanese have Minyou. Minyou's literal meaning is Folk Songs. But, in Japan, there is another Folksong school; its typical style is a singer sing a song which he wrote, playing the folk guitar. (Of course, women sing the latter too.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNEdh1TehTU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNMg1duOMCg

We are inherited Minyou from anonymous writers. Minyou is very local and old songs. We don't know when it accrued. Wikipedia says we have about 58,000 tunes of Minyou and 11 styles of it now. Some current Japanese pop songs take in Minyou style.

Tugaru Jyongara Busi (津軽じょんがら節) style:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1na-cwD6QNM
Very cool! Her music instrument is Syamisen (三味線).

Ondo (音頭) style:

You know this song!

Sima Uta (島唄) style:

[Tanago Fishing (タナゴ釣り)]

Whereas Ernest Hemingway enjoyed trolling in Key West, that is the bigger the better; Japanese do tanago fishing, that is the smaller the better, maybe.

Note that their fishing rods are very tiny.

Tanago (タナゴ):

I've heard that well-off people made joiners (指物師, or さしものし) craft their tanago fishing gears tiny in old times. (Nothing was normal size.) It was the style.

Hi, Availle-san.

When Japanese visited temples and shirines in old times, they could paste it Senjya-fuda's on wherever rules permitted, as their memorial of the visit. (At that time, there are no trains and cars. Possibly, they wouldn't visit there again. Not a second time.) If they disobeyed the rules, they were not cool (粋ではなかった, or いきではなかった). Wikipedia says we need special permission today in many temples and shrines when we want to paste them on.

I'd like to guide about the renovation in a few weeks. If you are interested in the old ones' design, some picture books (large and expensive) in libraries might help you.

[Shrine Carpenter (miya-daiku, みやだいく, or 宮大工)]

Temples and shrines require carpenters for orthodox specialities. A miya-daiku is a temple and shrine carpenter. 100 or so miya-daiku's remain in Japan now. They have accepted their responsibilities. They live here and there. So, when a big project take place, they gather in the place.

Ise Shrine (いせじんぐう, or 伊勢神宮) has rebuilded its shrines, the associated buildings, and their accessories once two decades. It has two sets of them, older ones and newer ones. It has two grounds for them in the holy place. The grounds are neighbors of each other. And there is a line. The line separates the two grounds, for the older ones and for the newer ones. It has rebuilded older ones once two decades. (Therefore, their lifetime is four decades.) By virtue of it, miya-daiku's, accessory makers, nail builders, and their successors have been able to keep Ise style orthodox specialities.
