In the early days of LibriVox, we actually had a thread "Spotlight on ..." , where one of us would volunteer to be sort-of interviewed by one or more of the other members. I kept my link, but I don't know how many others took part. Perhaps we could reinstate it, but with so many of us on the site now, we generally don't know each other as well as we did then, so there might not be the interest.

Here's mine (from 2006). Most of it is still approximately true: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2768&hilit=Peter+Why

EDIT:

* How old are you: 71
* Favorite color: Blue - French Ultramarine
* Pets: none, though I hand-feed grey squirrels in a park
* Sunrise or Sunset: Both; it's the intensity of colour I like
* Ocean or Mountains: Mountains
* Favorite food: Shrikhand
* Favorite pie: Apple and pineapple served with a sharp yogurt
* Steak or Seafood: neither: bacon/ham instead
* Italian or Chinese: Chinese
* Chocolate or Vanilla: vanilla, though I prefer lemon-and-lime sorbet
* How many tattoos: none
* Ever hit a deer: no
* Rode in an ambulance: Yes; slightly crushed foot in a warehouse accident long ago
* Ice skated: Yes - took formal lessons for a while, too.
* Rode a motorcycle: as a passenger once - at over 100 mph. Fun
* Stayed in the hospital: Yes; knee and eye operations a while ago.
* Favorite season: Autumn
* Broken Bones: Just a little toe (in the warehouse accident)

No, but I once saw one home in on the motorcyclist a few hundred yards in front of me. It was out between Menindee and Broken Hill in New South Wales’ Far West.
Roos have a bad habit of coming out of the trees or scrub near the road, paralleling a vehicle beside the road for a while, then blindly darting across in front of you. You have to anticipate them doing this if you want to avoid them. This one did this to the motorcyclist. It bounced off the bike, then jumped up and darted off. How the bike rider managed to stay upright is beyond me.

* How old are you: 58 and a half.
* Favorite color: cyan... but recently x721F0F which is characteristic of me.
* Pets: Starting with '92 till almost 2 years ago, I've had 4 cats and I miss them all terribly.
* Sunrise or Sunset: both. I'm on the East Coast. When I'm on the West Coast I am confused.
* Ocean or Mountains: both...one is vast, deep, and wide, the other is majestic, looming, and full of Earth's history.
* Favorite food: steamed cauliflower with salt, pepper, and ketchup. Don't judge me.
* Favorite pie: pecan...no strawberry rhub...no...pump...no wait...um...
* Steak or Seafood: "steak" he proclaimed with gravitas
* Italian or Chinese: Chinese
* Chocolate or Vanilla: chocolate
* How many tattoos: never
* Ever hit a deer: it was so close....so close, but my reactions are cat-like
* Rode in an ambulance: Yes. Got hit by a car while on a bicycle in Brooklyn. The EMT called in on the radio that I had a possible fracture of the uterus. We had a good laugh.
* Ice skated: Yes, in a manner of speaking on a public rink. I'll never attempt that again.
* Rode a motorcycle: Once in the late 70s. I was never allowed to do so again and I agreed.
* Stayed in the hospital: always outpatient thank you
* Favorite season: Winter
* Broken Bones: No. My healthy and manly humerus was undamaged. But I love Italian too.

Can’t believe you’re missing your opportunity to proclaim your age as a groovy 33-and-a-third. :lol:

Though the concept of the LP may be lost on this rising generation. <sigh>

Here's one done in 2018 that doesn't change with the new years (so it's a snapshot of when it was done): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1amk4Ae8m87Xgt34yx03rEC5Zsy3DfqpuM30wMOTcc04/edit#gid=1511834375
Its thread: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=69187&p=1438186

Here's one from 2012 which does change, I guess: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16NTXBhdzMZDiAVuDxcIhJmOn4vBV6KQ2WYfkL0nlcDE/edit#gid=0

I have to be honest and say that I'm 99 years and 11 months old and I'm not so successful (very recently) at chatting up young ladies who are 80 years younger than me. I can still do a four minute mile in under 1 minute and can still drink 9 pints of strong beer in under half an hour. But I can no longer croak into my very good mics to read a best seller written in 1924 or even earlier. Sometimes after I've walked 15 miles I need to sit on the couch for ten minutes to recover, but then I'm off again for another 15 miles. (Unless my dog needs a rest ...)
