"Gift" as a verb.
"Dialogue" as a verb.
"Parent" as a verb.
"Friend" as a verb.
"Lay" as a synonym for "lie."

In voice over work my absolute pet hate is the word 'digital'. I also loathe 'qualitative and quantitative'

Quite like moist 😁

Possibly even more annoying than "gasped."

"Prepuce" ... I had to look it up, and now can't quite banish it from my mind.

This is the same for me except with the name “Thomas Sawyer” ! I end up doing a long hissing S but a soft break between the words, if that makes sense. Just so I don’t run the two words together and make it mumbo jumbo.

"Sects"

Reading mostly theology and church history, this word drives me nuts. The singular is easy but the plural sounds like a different word. I tried at least 12 times to say it right until I gave up and assumed it probably doesn't sound that bad to someone listening.

Say 'insects,' then drop the 'in.'
