This is really funny to me, what a difference just four years makes!
Listen to the first recording I ever did for just a few seconds: https://ia800303.us.archive.org/1/items/seaboard_parish_1505_librivox/seaboard_parish_34_macdonald_128kb.mp3
Now, listen to my most recent recording for just a few seconds: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/sirrogerdecoverley_01_addison_128kb.mp3
Can you tell if it's even me?
The times have changed for sure
My voice has DEFINITELY changed
My goodness, that IS some change, Elijah!
My change is mostly around the sound quality though my voice has deepened a little over the last 11 years. Plus no slightly-stuffy nose, and I'm a little better at pronouncing LibRIvox after saying it a few thousand times.

There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!
I agree. Your voice has grown slightly deeper and the sound is much better. I didn't notice the stuffy nose though, probably for the better lol.
Thanks

Cori, at that rate of voice change (hereinafter designated "delta-V"), do you think we might expect a Marlene Dietrich contralto anytime soon?

For a very generous definition of 'soon', you betcha. I'm looking forward to those changes very much, too, my older lady voice will be coming in about the time I can legally work on Miss Marple!
And over the same period, your voice, as well as Elijah's, will probably lift slightly. Age-related changes are fascinating!

I’m relying on it!
These Ladies-Of-A-Certain-Age detectives always have a colonial gardener of obscure origins as a dramatic foil.
I pride myself on my obscurity!
