Filmmaker James Sullivan says “I’ve always been a fan of film taken by individuals, long before modern technology and outlets like Vimeo. I found this remarkable footage, from Britton, South Dakota, on the Prelinger Archives. I love the openness of the towns people, and their willingness to be filmed. I'm in Scotland, so I've added a Scottish slant with the music and did a complete soundscape to the silent footage. I felt it all deserved a modern presentation.

The town has the feel of "It's A Wonderful Life" so I've made it with Christmas and New Year in mind. I hope you enjoy it. Please share it during the festive season. Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR.”

Thanks, Dana. I think he did a great job of editing the archive footage and mixing the narration, fx and music--a talented film maker! Was glad to be able to contribute my voice.

I could listen to your voice for hours! The fact that you threw Rod in, only sweetened the deal!
